Hi, I was registering for electoral roll, during registration, I was asked this.... "Do you want to opt out of the ‘open register’? The electoral register lists the name and address of everyone who’s registered to vote. There are 2 versions of the electoral register - the full version and the ‘open register’ (‘edited register’ in Northern Ireland). You can opt out of the open register. This is the version of the register that’s available to anyone who wants to buy a copy. Opting out will not affect your right to vote." (option to tick in the box is given here)I do not want my name and address to appear in the open register So here what should I choose? Could you please guide me. Thanks. [I think I found the answer, full version is a better option for credit score, still you could confirm, lol]

Yes every applicant will need to register to local GP/ surgery for any medical help

Hey! I have a doubt. You mentioned keeping resumes ready and take up part time jobs right? But when you don't already have a job in hand how will you be granted a Visa in the first place ?

For any medical needs you need to call the local GP/Surgery where you are registered and they will book an appointment for you with a doctor if required. For emergencies you can directly go to A&E section of a nearest hospital 😊👍🏻

Hello Anupam, all the banks have the facilities to open bank account online but we had good experience with HSBC while opening Manmeet’s bank account as he is a student. For sim cards Vodafone can be expensive.. why not get a cheaper one by comparing deals on websites like compare the market or uswitch. You can get like Lebara Sim in a cheaper rate..

As soon as we arrive, we must open a bank account but I have to put my accommodation address right? But may be after some time or 6 months We might change it. So ?? Baad mei hum update karwa sakte hain??? Also, for NHS registeration humare paas toh filhaal koi permanent address toh nahi hoga... We'll be putting the current address i.e accomodation wala. So can we change it later ???

Bank account for the starting you can open Monzo or Revolut later on you can get high street bank account open like Hsbc or natwest etc.. yes you can change address later for NHS 👍🏻 if you are staying in temp accommodation for only few days then its better to register for NHS/ GP once you have permanent add.

If you filter the house as per the price and set your budget on rightmove website.. usually we have heard in places like Harrow, West drayton, Slough.. you can get a cheaper rented home

It should be mentioned on the bank website or just contact bank to ask and they will let you know

Sir, In whatever state or country you are, try and contact HSBC bank, the bank will give you direct link to open a Current bank account. As per my knowledge they do not have any charges to maintain minimum balance in your account

Visa stamp has a validity before that you can travel.. you will need to collect your BRP card in the UK which will have longer valid date

Please, since the pandemic the NI number process has changed, and they don't take many applications on the phone as it's too busy. They have now made NI number application online via the GOV.UK website. It is free. NEVER ever pay for NI number application, if you have to pay them it's a fake website.
