Omg look at Owen go! I think it’s a second child thing, I had a boy first then a girl and she is so much more active and also hit her gross motor milestones so much sooner, and also never sits still . Love and agree with all your recommendations!

Have you tried rascal and friends diapers? I'm in Canada so I'm not sure if they're available in the states but they are Huggies style (more absorbent in the front) but are chemical free. I use them for both my boys (2 year old and 3 week old) :)

Very informative video! 😊 I’m going to be a first time mom in May (in NYC) and it’s so overwhelming to give birth during this crazy time. I was supposed to have my shower this weekend but that didn’t happen so right now I’m missing some things until people get a chance to give them to me. My question to you is how much newborn or 0-3 clothes/sleepers should I have on hand for the first few months? I want to be prepared. 👶🏻

Not a ton, I would get more 3-6. Because they grow out of those pretty quick!!

I’d say like 6 sleepers in each age range, and 6-10 onsies, and then whatever daytime clothes you want on top of that. I found 6 (we had 7 newborn ones actually) was a good number for us because with blowouts and spit ups we would sometimes use two a day, and that meant we didn’t have to wash clothes everyday. Also, if you not going to be buying more, buy high quality, because the less you have the more often you’ll wash them and they’ll wear out fast. As for daytime outfits, don’t buy a ton from the start, feel it out and see how you intend to use them and buy as you go :) Also, my babe was born 6lbs 1oz and we’re just now growing out of newborn size clothing at 2 months old. So I’m glad I didn’t listen to the people that told me not to buy any 😂

Our first baby couldn’t care less about a sound machine!! But we are considering one for the next baby since there will be more noise with a toddler in the house!

In the Hatch app I’m almost positive there’s a place in the settings to lock the machine so they can’t press it and change it constantly.

Dock a tot is banned in Canada which is a shame as I loved it for my second but follow the guidelines here and know they am for a reason. Not sure how I’m going to make this baby sleep!
