I've been using Elgato's stream deck for a little while now and I'll glady say it's one of my most used pieces of streaming gear outsides my camera and microphone. It's a piece of streaming tech that I actually use and it's constantly being updated and new plugins are constantly releasing. In this video I share some of my favorite stream deck plugins I've found so far and how I'm using them! Hope you enjoy!

Great video, some very useful additions I’ll be adding. I notice the quality of the recording when you’re showing us the screen is very pixelated though. Stream Decks awesome, I use it for everything, very useful for a game I play called Rust, I can craft items instantly without having to open the menu, so can craft while on the move in game. So many useful features especially the audio being able to mute teammates on the fly, especially in games where audio is important to hear other players.

I will just add on, the CPU plugin by Elgato, if pressed will open task manager as well, just so you don't need to have 2 different keys. Just a heads up :)

I’d like to use a different library for sound effects rather than what elgato offers any suggestions?

The most simple solution is that using the same exact "Play Audio" buttons you use to play Stream Deck sounds, you can choose a wav or mp3 file from your computer to play. You don't have to use the ones on the Elgato Store. Another option is to use streamerbot or Sammi and use shortcuts to activate them on the Stream Deck (don't forget Stream Deck has access to F13-F24 so you can use those if you are feeling like not interfering with other apps). There are other options as well (e.g. VoiceMod and use the VoiceMod plugin). There are many ways to do it!

You said the counter can be used with OBS but never went further with that idea. Can I use that to add an on screen death counter? If so, how?

Just a suggestion; I’d normalize your audio because most of the time your voice is too low because your gate is too strong then other audios are too loud. Also lose your gate because it’s too aggressive. I’d rather hear your room than the distracting volume differences in your gate. Thanks for the suggestions on plugins though. Solid recap of everything

have a question. I have the live streamer on my stream deck but when i click on it it doesn't open who is streaming at the current moment. is there some other setting that i have to use in order to be able to see them. Or do I have to be streaming in order for them to pull up. Thank you. And your video was very helpful

I believe with the bar raider plug in you have to actually set up the connection if I remember right. I know bar raider has a website with tutorials I will just look up one of those
