MUST-HAVE Mods For The R53 Mini Cooper S Build

In todays video we start some much needed visual changes for the R53 Mini Cooper S by starting the chrome delete. There is plenty to do but today we are focusing on the door handles, petrol cap, and also we change the wing mirrors over too. These changes will make the Mini so much more aesthetically pleasing and remove some of that bling that for me the R53 Mini shouldn't have some with.
A nice simple video, with some how to techniques, and nearly a classic Dom error.

Liking the little cosmetic mods! Like to keep the colour scheme matching the roof the same myself but the two tone suits your car. The alloys are beautiful. Subbed to see what else you have planned

KillAllChrome sells a kit to black out all those bits except for the petrol cap I believe

I’m the opposite I’m trying to keep my R53 as standard looking as possible and only going to be adding performance mods but each to their own it’s whatever makes you happy with the car 👍

@@dominichills probably just the usual stuff, reduced pulley, intercooler, exhaust etc and probably coil overs with spacers but body wise the only thing I would add would be aero skirts

@@davelee8684 nice, I see a lot do pulley, cams, injectors and ecu. I'm not sure what to do performance wise tbh.

Think Mini add way too much chrome sometimes hahah. I was forever de chroming my R56 when it wasn’t broken hahah. Nice video as always!

Get a heat gun on those skirts and wheel arches, bring the oil back to surface to get them nice and black again!

Really? Never heard of that method before. I've got that meguiars back to black stuff I was going to try but I'll Google your method instead! 🙌

Use a ceramic coating instead like Gyeon Trim or similar, restores them real nice and lasts for months if not years. The heatgun method will actually make them fade even quicker eventually.
