Definitely some really nice upgrades that are sadly needed since GM missed the boat on protecting those low hanging shocks, and thin tie rods. If I am blessed to get one in the next year I will absolutely get those upgrades for the truck. 😎🇺🇸

I haven't yet. I did after the front level kit but didn't do it again after the tie rod sleeves. I will soon, though.

Nice video as always. I have the same mods on my Z71. Couple of quick notes, a C clamp is useful to squeeze the bottom stock shock brackets if they're too wide when trying to put the shock skids on. I had took them off after two years to clean off the rust and repaint. Second, the tie rod sleeves can be detrimental in that instead of the inner tied rod buckling under extreme impact loads, it could transfer the failure to the rack or EPS housing.

@@HorsePowerObsessed - positive thinking! When I get around to it I'll take my tie rod sleeves and cut them down shorter to the same length as Chevy Performance sleeves. I wouldn't worry about this too much unless you're doing extreme off roading.

@@HorsePowerObsessed Cool. As usual, I'm probably overthinking this due to being an engineer who works on rack EPS systems like our trucks have. Recently we were doing the jounce and rebound calculations of the rack forces involved on an off-road vehicle and system sizing. Let's say it's quite high, made me question stiffening up a purpose made weak point.

@Marc Yes, I'd go with the shorter tie rod sleeves. Peak Suspension makes some "shorty" style sleeves.
