I really like them. I live in south central Texas all my life. Have heard these words all my life. Some I recognize. Some I actually have heard but didn't know the meaning. Now I do. They do a great job.

Amigos...noticed you guys using the present tense for the future. Is this common in Mexico? For example, where you used "te espero" (present) for "I will wait for you" (future).
@srbaruchi

Gringo here with a lot of Spanish knowledge. Yes, Spanish speakers tend to use, at will, the present tense to express the future. Common examples: Te veo pronto (I will see you soon), or Nos vemos (We will see "us" - each other), or (in the sketch) Yo pago (I will pay).

Wow, here I am supposedly "bilingual" and actually interpret in the hospital. I consider myself fairly fluent, yet I've never heard of "any" of these, except "mijo." I need to work on my slang.

I think is commonly used by men, keep in mind that those slang words are from the capital of México, "carnala" i have never heard used by women at least in northern México. I think that the majority of women don't use slang because is kind of representating your low education level. Thats my opinion from other region of México.
