@@AllThingsSocialSecurity I discovered the rfc that DDS assigned to me: unskilled sedentary work with no/minimal interaction w/ others, w/ 3 to 4 hr sit/stand in 8 hr work day & 10# limit, avoid bending/stooping, avoid machinery, vibrations & heights, no climbing, limited left arm use (decreased ROM of C and L spine, Lt Shoulder and lt hip), positive bilateral straight leg raise test, grade 1 Retrolisthesis (from 8 year old MRI), severe visual disturbance & other things. Both physical Dr and opthalmologist (who said my vision disturbance is consistent w/ stroke & suspect glaucoma) recommended that DDS send me for MRI but DDS didn't. There is hope the Judge will see those report recommendations & do so. 🙂. Still I got hope for a good outcome. Your videos have helped make the waiting easier & helped explain the process 🙂. Thanks again for the helpful replies & sorry for big wall of text.

Grids cover ALL ages. They just don't allow youngers to win but for things that would generally likely be a listing leve or a comp allowance :) ergo the 50+ reality :) And yes, the acronyms - we all had to learn them. I supose back then, we were used to absorbing acronyms b/c all other areas of law we practiced had their own set, so it is something you just get used to - a muscle memory of sorts :) All very elementary, but when the above becomes a natural "rule of thumb", or a "like the back of your hand" those things are basic enough to need zero inclusion in the brief, for instance. Kind of how we don't explain in a brief what SSD is... that part need not take up space so we get to the nuances and evidence of how THIS particular claim is awardable. We don't spend valuable space/time on the parts that apply to all, so as to drill home on the claimant's unique aspects that thread his needle to the awarding. If that makes sense! loll.
