Lantern: 4 square dowels cut at 18 inches in length. Measure you base and determine how long you need to cut 8 cross beam pieces of wood. It all depends on your base.

Because I also sometimes have trouble with Smiles on Snowmen, I just use dots, as if it’s pieces of coal !

Both-My sister used to send my eldest son as many ornaments as he was years old. He passed away at 17. His Youngest brother inherited all of those ornaments he is 48 this year. I bought an artificial Nobal fir this year- and have been collecting glass antique ornaments my whole 70 years that is what I will be decorating with this year!

I pretty much use the same Christmas ornaments for my own tree, however I make ornaments for our family, kids, and grandchildren. I had some that I had kept from my parent and grandparents that meant the world to me. I lost them all (including everything else we owned in a flood). I wish I still had them so my hope is that the things I make and give them will give them as much joy as mine gave me when I would pull them out of the box and place them every year! It would bring back so many wonderful memories from my childhood and the stories my grandparents would tell. I wanted to pass them down to my children but…that’s ok, now we just start over. I said it before in my last comment but I really do appreciate all the ideas and inspiration. Thank you!

@@cindyhester9823 I really want to bless you if you would let me. My mom passed 2 years ago I dont need double and mom would be so happy to know some one was being blessed. As for the long thin try just keep checking the the dollor stors and maybe salvation army or some were like that. God bless you and your family. Lisa 🤗💕

I used the goodie jars for making beach scenes for my granddaughters , we winter in Florida so I collected shells & beach sand . I bought plastic sea creatures and palmtrees they turned out so pretty. I made large ones for my 3 daughters and daughter in-law, and the little ones I use little plastic jars from dollar tree they held buttons, but were perfect for our little granddaughters I used glitter in the little ones and the sand for the others they all loved them . My grandsons all got necklace made out of a shell and leather cord , the men all got Keychains. They all loved their gifts. ❤

If you put the Mod Podge behind the napkin you can use a piece of plastic wrap to lay on top and use your decoupage tool to roll out air bubbles and wrinkles.

I use the same ornaments and in fact have used the same tree for over 20 years. I did however get some additional ones this year. I have always lived away from family so the same tree with the traditions has always meant Christmas to me.

I almost always do a different theme and color my trees one year I had a blue tree i've had a red tree a purple tree a green green tree but they always turned out really cool.

I want to share a tip some may not know about. You will not have any bubbles or wrinkles with Mod Podge (MP) if you iron the tissue paper, paper napkins, fabric, etc. to the Mod Podged project. 1. Spread the MP on your project and let dry completely. 2. Once dry, lay the paper over the MP 3. Place parchment paper over the paper and iron with high heat - no steam. The paper will be smooth with no bubbles or wrinkles, and very well adhered. Sand the edges to add that finishing touch. Hope this helps someone. Blessings to you.

Love everything you did. The 2nd one you could do with a cutting board too use the handle to tie your bow and put your greenery on. Just another idea while I was watching you do it I might use. I wish I could afford a saw to cut wood with being disabled on a very limited income I barely can afford to buy a few things from Dollar tree to make a project especially since they raised the price even 25 cents adds up when you are poor. But if I happen to have a few dollars saved up I save all my change when I get enough I roll the change and take it to my bank that's what I use to get my Christmas presents i make for each of my daughter's something special from me. If I have enough I make something for my 11 grandkids and their boyfriend's and girlfriends the oldest ones that is only 3 are younger than 14.

I love you staying in the edges of those trees I stay in the edges of everything I do cuz I'm real country I just think it makes it pop it gives it that umph that it needs it just something around the edge just Blends it Blends right in and gives it that country it's just gorgeous I do all of my country around the edges with dark stain keep up the good work

I’d never thought of painting the glitter covered reindeer from DT. Thanks to your video mine are drying as we speak! I use the same ornaments every year. My family tradition is a Hallmark ornament for every year and my husband was more than happy for us to continue on.

If you add a little dish detergent in the paint it will adhere a lot better. Good for slick smooth surfaces. I learned this in tole painting class a long time ago. Passing it on for friends. ❤

Our family started a tradition of getting one ornament each (mom and dad together and me, the only child). Now I have my son he gets one and I get one. It is so neat seeing things I loved over time, fairies, Harry Potter, donkey Kong, a variety of Disney characters, while my parents would usually choose an ornament with the year in it somewhere. One of my recent favorites was to do with the toilet paper crisis lol. We don't have any generic balls or anything. Everyone that comes over loves looking thru them all as well. One of my all time favorites is a really nice looking Santa nutcracker that actually "cracks nuts... If they were tiny lol"

At Christmas I love too change my Christmas ornaments every few years because my son's love how I do that time to time and I been doing that since they were baby's. I love all of your ideas and your creativity. Your tree picture was a lot nicer than Kirkland's. I noticed one of the trees on the Kirkland's was a little wrinkled. haha I can't really choose which craft I like the best, but I do like them all! Thank you for sharing with us. I use a bit of plastic wrap like the kind you use for food to get wrinkles out of napkin decoupage. Just kinda ball it up and start from the middle to the outer edges but gently and slow 🥰💞

I DO check out the ornament section, and have found many pieces to use! Last year Walmart had little red checked hats with ear flaps. Used those for my sock gnome hat! They sold like hotcakes!

I think the sled was my favorite today. So pretty. I am disabled so I attach my ornaments very well and wrap my tree every year. Lol I do change the topper. But it still a special moment when it’s unwrapped.

I enjoy all your things you make I love the centerpieces I make them and I saw some in the craft show but you give me good ideas on how to makes make things better for myself and I appreciate it keep doing the good job and like I said I enjoyed I enjoyed your work you do
