Dear sir, Angelina Jordan practices singing since the age of 3. Beside normal School, she also participated at the academies for music and performing arts since age 4 at Oslo/Norway and later, LA. The reason why she performes barefoot and her nickname Barefoot Princess is already known; I suspect. Singers and musicians call her The new Queen of Jazz and Soul. There are many great singers out there but non can flex the colour tone and texture of her voice like Angelina can. Her biggest fans are musicians and other vocalists. Still in her early teens the Great Quincy Jones invited her to sing in his birthday concert with a full orchestra called her the most talented young singer he had seen since Michael Jackson give he produced some of his biggest albums he should know.. Given that her parents wanted her to have as normal childhood as possible nd keeping performances to the school holidays...she has still wracked up an enormous back catalogue.

I loved watching you go through the gamut of emotions I went through when I first discovered Angelina. Have a listen to all of her new EP Old Enough. It's all fire. My personal fave covers that really show her versatility are her covers of Stay (Rihanna) and I'd Rather Go Blind (Etta James).

Angelina was touched by all the old soul angels during creation!! All her covers are a tribute to the original singers who created them. Angelina does a solid job of covering some of the greatest singers of all time and as a teenager at that. Here's the question, how many of them could cover songs from Angelina's EP as well. Forget Whitney or Adele, they've never demonstrated many of the vocal elements that Angelina uses. The only ones would be those with a strong jazz background, particularly Amy Winehouse or even perhaps Duffy. And I suppose some of the jazz greats from decades ago could learn some of the modern techniques if they were transported to 2023. But these great jazz singers could not also cover Adele or Whitney. Angelina is just a once-in-a-lifetime talent.

When Whitney sang this she was 27. Angelina was 15.

Her first origjnal arrangement was Im Holding Out For You at ten years old. The story I heard was that an award winning singer songwriter (Baby Phatt?) from Norway was shopping around for a known artist to arrange some lyrics he wrote but no one was interested. Amgelina took it & made it her own & it was so soo good that he copied her every run. But his version is more electronica. Her mom didn't want her version released bc of the lyrics suicidal message. He accidently uploaded her when he uploaded his version. She still has never sung it again but all partys are ok with hers being released. No lie. Its her best EVER. First time Angelina sang live in front of an audience, she was Seven Years old, first song on Norway’s Got Talent 2014). First time Angelina Sang in front of an American Audience, she was Eight Years old on The View on TV. First t8me America fell in Love with Angel8na was on America’s Got Talent, The Champions Season 2, Angelina was 13 and sang Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, her rendition of this Iconic Song was so different and so good she stunned everyone, including Queen as Brian May commented on his tweeter page. By the way, Queen gifted Angelina her renditions of Bohemian Rhapsody. To date, Angelina has sang over 150 covers by over 90 different Artists. Angelina at age 16, during her last concert in Norway in July 2022, dedicated this song to her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani, who is Angelina's world. Mery was a prodigy for art and poetry while growing up in Iran. Mery has been battling health issues and couldn't make the trip from LA to Norway. Angelina's dedication makes this song far more emotional to her angels (fans).

In the case of this song, I prefer the vocal arrangement she used in the "Tribute" version on her CoverChannel (seen in the search results at the beginning of this reaction video). She put more of her own stamp on it there. Second choice would be her live rendition on _Allsang på Grensen_ found on her Official channel (as well as on TV 2's channel [TV 2 being the Norwegian broadcaster of the ApG series]). I suppose this MV would be my third choice. With rare exceptions (like "I Put a Spell on You" and "Suspicious Minds"), I am generally biased against "produced" studio recordings when perfectly fine (and just as well sung) live versions exist. All that to say, if you don't know what version of one of her covers to go with, it's usually a pretty safe bet to go with a highly viewed live version (live-on-stage, live-on-TV, or live-at-home) over a studio version. IMO.

This is her cover of I Have Nothing at 16, you really need to listen to her "Tribute To Whitney Houston" at 13. I find it more amazing because she had just turned 13, and to reach those notes at that age is more than impressive.
