Is there any specific reason as to why the 0 guard close was used for the 1.5 line instead of the .5 open (1), then half way open if the 1.5 line doesn’t come out, then .5 close all the way if it still doesn’t disappear?

0 guard open is right below the 1 guard. Each guard goes into the following. No guard open (on most Clipper besides the andis masters.) is less than the 0 guard closed.
