연밥이라고도 불렀는데 밤 맛이랑 비슷해서 고소한데 밤보다 좀 더 부드럽고 연한 맛이에요. 어렸을 때 딱 한번 먹어 봤는데 우리나라에선 먹기 힘든 씨앗종류죠.

어릴때 시골에 가면 여기저기 다 연꽃밭이었는데 할아버지가 연밥이라고 맛있다고 해서 꽤 간식으로 먹었었죠 그런데 티비에서 건강에 좋다고 하고나서 사람들이 싹 뜯어가는바람에 2~3년만에 그많던 연꽃들이 전부 사라져버렸었던 기억이 있네요

Makhana isi tarah ke shoot se banta hai, chahe wahan industrial tareeke se process ho. Ye kachcha beej hai, iske chahne wale bhi bahot hain. Yamuna kinaare pehle bahot bikta tha Delhi mein. Foxnut is just the processed version of this raw seed.

헐 대박 완전 추억이에요... 연꽃 저거 잘만 고르면 완전 달고 맛있는데...ㅠㅠ 어쩔때는 엄청 떫은걸 먹을 때도 있지만😅😅😅 근데 저거 진짜 맛있어요... 제가 캄보디아에 살았을때 진짜 지나가다 보이면 엄마한테 사달라고 해서 언니들이랑 같이 먹었던 기억이 있네요.. 저거 진짜 보이면 꼭!! 한번 먹어보세요.. 물론 떫은거 안먹게 조심...😅

@@xploration1437 That changes nothing. The reason it's not a real phobia is because it's an innate defense mechanism we've acquired over time to things like mold and other similar items. The definition of a phobia is an irrational fear of something, however I have not seen a single reaction to "trypophobia videos" that's nearly as intense as people who have arachnophobia or other physical phobias. It's a very rational thing to be adverse to, hence not a phobia.

awee I used to eat these all the time. Now-a-days I can't find anyone selling it anymore. I've never seen lotuses this big before tho. If the seed is too small to have any meat inside, me and my friends try to cracked it with our fore heads to see who makes the loudest crack The middle of the seed is really bitter so it's better to crack it open and take out the green part inside first.

Makhana are actually the seeds of prickly lily, also called Fox nuts. While popcorn is indeed what the name suggests, it's corn/maize or makka/bhutta in Hindi, which has been popped (burst) due to heating in a closed container. So makhana, popcorn and Lotus seeds are actually 3 quite very different things.
