In this video, Trail breaks down all the things that should be factored in when you are picking out your next bow sight. Trail has spent a respectable amount of days in the backcountry chasing animals with his bow and has built up a familiarity with many bow sights in the process. We hope that this video helps you narrow down a decision when purchasing a sight this year.

Thank you Trail for the great information. It's great to how they keep pushing limits. But if your sight can shoot 100 yards most people are shooting 100 yards at Elk and Deer and wounding a lot of animals same thing for long range rifles. We are losing the ability to hunt and get in close. God's Blessings to you all and have a safe and successful season

get an Axcel 3 pin slider. 25, 35 and 40 pins. the 3 pins are probably all you need for hunting but you can always dial it in for further if you want to practice long distance

I have always shot a Fast Eddie but on my new Prime Revex I’m going to go with a Hogg Father.

Pushing the sight way out definitely makes it more accurate, but it also makes it less forgiving. If you have to shoot from a weird spot and you torquing your bow a little bit it will be magnified with it farther away

Your also going to lose distance running that sight all the way out

Hey Trail, I’m stuck between the hha tetra max and the dialed arxos sight. I have the uv3xl scope and the ability to mount it on either sight. Could you tell me more about what is steering you towards the dialed sight for the fall? You mentioned some quirks you weren’t so found of?

Hi there, personally I wished the Dialed had a better locking mechanism to ensure it was locked out in the default position. It's not a deal breaker, I haven't even noted that it moved but always makes me feel better to know that that it's secure. I also had a smidgen of play in where the internal portion of the windage rod that connects the scope to the main part of the housing on the dialed sight. I also wish it were easier to lock out the windage rather than having to use a allen with a set screw. All of that it not a huge deal just minor stuff. I do like the sight, I like the bubble in the top of the housing and the adjustment is smooth. Their pins are clear and bright. Overall it's a nice sight. I also like the HHA, tolerances are tight and there are no loose parts in it. It's solid, all metal...really well built. I like the locking mechanism on it as well. It's a little heavier if I remember. I think I would go with the Tetra RYZ with the shorter bar if I were buying again. I like to run the sight in closer to the riser personally on my hunting bow so I have a fair amount of wasted length and added weight on the Max. The housing on the Max with the 4 pin is not my favorite. The pins sit at the back of the housing and I'm not a big fan of their brightness adjustment for the pins. If you were putting an Ultraview on it, it would be a nice setup. Hope that helps some, all the best this fall!

@@trailkreitzer9163 thanks so much Trail that was super helpful. I went with the hha short bar and ultraview and I’m really liking it so far.
