This hit me hard as well wow. I see this one man everyday and at my old job he came in his wife had cancer he had two boys he was raising and he wanted to surprise them with phones for xmas because it came with a free mp3 player and he walks everywhere and it broke me when he couldn't afford the phone plan etc. I wanted to chase him down fast forward his wife died and he walks to work everyday , works very hard he would come into my work and drop off donations thing is he walked to my work carrying big big items and he lived about a 25min walk away so I always told myself if I ever come into money I would help him out asap ... I have a list of people but would love to do what you do.
