@@cliffhalljr3426I think he means the porgy boats! Their kill rate on “waste” is higher than all recreational fisherman put together. They kill a lot of trout & reds. The fish the areas of “bait” which include a lot of the breeding size fish as “waste” it’s devastating to see the amount of dead fish we fish just in one day of their operations. They need to down size the boats that are allowed to fish these areas bc we didn’t have this problem 20-30yrs ago. I truly believe it’s the reason we are seeing such a decline in the fisheries, bc most recreational fisherman are not successful on their trips. The sad part of the commercial line is that, most of this product is exported, so it’s a double waste of our fishery.

I keep fish too, sometimes we keep many when i take friends fishing, because they want them. But i'm telling them to keep just enough for themselves. I grew up in China see fish population plummet during last 20 years due to overfishing. It's devastating.

Ridiculous reply. They had plenty of fish in the box. You should be thanking these guys for being good sportsman and releasing the larger trout to breed and keep this fishery healthy.
