The red would have been beautiful on the petals, but I'm glad you changed it to pink. The pink with the black and gold is stunning. I love this painting. I think the stems in the center of the flower are called stamens.

When you mentioned favoring the left side for profiles, that is what I do too. Maybe it's because I am left handed, but it's always much easier for me to draw a profile from the left, it seems more natural for me. I love this pink flower, mainly because pink is my favorite color!!! I'm so grateful to have found your channel, I love watching you create!!!
