For the first race ever, especially being 24hrs of Daytona. I am very impressed with how the Mustangs performed! Onwards and upwards it only gets better from here.

And a nice race you picked to attend...IMSA is so cool to go see. The ability to get down at the pits while they wrench on them. Walking around the infield and conversing with the campers. Enjoying the roar as the come out of the bus stop and loop back up onto Turn 1, the lights at night...it's a bit of a magical event.

It was exciting to watch these cars race the 24. The BOP however, was IMO, extreme. They took what would have been a real contender and cut its balls off. To be the fastest car in-class during practice and hand it the harshest BOP was an embarrassment on IMSA’s part. The cars held up well, except the rear deck lid. Looking forward, I see great things for the Mustang GT3’s and GT4’s.

This was my first IMSA event and an amazing experience at the Rolex 24. Was awesome to see Ford back in. Looking forward to seeing how this platform expands out into the various series.

A great result for a first up race it finished 6th hold you head up high & on to Sebering 12hr & Le Man's 24hr so proud of all the Ford Performance crew so very well done & I can't wait to see it in Australia for the 2025 Bathurst 12hr , so onward & upward 💕👏👏👏

Ford does great work 💪 more bolts on body panels and front bumper and diffuser also the wing should be carbon fiber molded to the body and chassis . Let's go Ford Race strong and Fast #1 forever.

That’s called racing! Ferrari took out the first place Corvette last year in the last 4 min of Sebring. It happens! Not that it’s cool when it does. But they have to make moves or nothing will change because BOP has them all at the same speed.

What's hilarious here... all this testing and all these "Mustang is great." comments, and the rear deck lid gave the 64 & 65 problems.... The 55 GTD was a DNF.

Ford " we gonna get Porsche" .......Ill hold ma breath. The rear engine little V6 handles better, last longer and is faster .All this hype on a heavy giant V8 car with bells and whistles. Buy a 911 GT3 .... copy it , then you can stay clsoe.

They placed 6th, not last😂 They also won the GT4. That's what you call an embarrassment. No, they didn't place, but they almost did in a Mustang. Internationally, Mustamgs aren't seen as Super Cars or even competition.

@@lroyjetsonson5060Couldn't agree more, good God some of the people in this comment section are dumb. Calling it a disappointment that ford's brand new race car made it all the way to the end of one of the harshest races of the season, and it performed decent. Most of their issues were freak things with the deck lid, which will almost certainly be fixed by the next race, and getting hit by other cars like you said.

Bro, running reliability and nearly placing in the top 5 in your first race with a brand new car is hardly a disappointing result. Most of the time in this situation, the cars don't even finish.

@@Normandy1944 Exactly, a top five for a first time out, with being at a disadvantage due to BoP restrictions sticker than several other cars in class. I fail to see how that's a failure.
