In West of Muscat, the coast of Gulf of Oman, a new fish market has taken the stand in 2017 as a new landmark on the waterfront along the lively corniche in Mutrah.
Merging tradition with innovation, the 4000 square meter fish market is designed to sympathetically unite the old and the new.
Fishes captured from Sea starts arriving at Sunrise here and Fish selling is mainly during the first half of the morning.

There are plenty of parking space available for the visitors in this Fish market. The place is very clean and the way they have made this is also interesting.
Entrance for the customers and traders are clearly marked with different gates. Due to the current Covid 19 spread, visitors’ body temperature is monitored by the security guards stationed at each entrance.
A whole range of fish and shell fish are available here for sale. The Prices are quite reasonable and negotialble. You could see so many different varieties of fishes: Tunas with 3-4 varients, Squid, King fish, Prawns and so on ...​
It is an authentic fish market were you can take pictures and interact with the local sellers who are very gentle.
The best time to visit this fish market is early morning (around 07:00 a.m.) to see a wide variety of seafood.
This market also has another section to shop SPICES, vegetables and fruits.
