Isabelle Faust's Bach is speaking and breathing and resonating. Unlike in many other rather romantic recordings the music truly makes sense!

Absolutely great performance by one of the best violinists in the world. It proves how many "authentic" interpretations are possible. I was amazed by the first four movements, especially by Sarabanda and Giga, though Ciacconna is a bit too through forward played. But it is rather a question of my personal taste.

Wonderful performance, honest to the composer's intentions and technically fluid. Such a pleasure to listen to. But who thought it was a good idea to pair it with a painting of a salmon hacked in half with its guts spilling out?

I actually find Melendez's work not just virtuosic, but also strangely, evocatively, meditative. Goes very well with this music, IMHO .
