Jonas Steur is active in the music scene for a long time already. The DJ and producer from Belgium is releasing music for more than 20 years under names such as Estuera, Global Killer, Fable, Evil Robot, Timebender and also under his own name; Jonas Steur.
In the year 2007 Jonas released "Fall To Pieces" a beautiful vocal trance track, for which he worked together with US based singer / songwriter Jennifer Rene.
For this week’s vlog I sat down with Jonas, to ask him about the story behind this classic!

Original, that's an easy answer. Although his mashup with Ton TB - Dream Machine (Estuera Fairlight Distriction Remix) which he played at Luminosity 2023 is also great.

Jonas Steur is one of my favorite producers when it comes to telling the story behind the music. He seems like a guy I could go into the studio with on a weekend and have some beers and cook up some interesting stuff and have a laugh, really kind guy. And obviously great tunes as well!

One of my all time favorite tracks. It's just so completely perfect. The rhythm, the melody, the vocals, the lyrics, the progression, I can go on and on but it's so unbelievably perfect.

In my humble opinion Steur's album "Born for the night" is a timeless classics, and "Fall to pieces" is a track which belongs to a golden collection of Trance music. Thanks Jonas and Musikxpress 😊😊😊

20:40 something that stands out for me is the way Jennifer played with the singing. It's some many different singing styles fused together so perfectly. Not a dull moment in that 👌

I follow Jonas since his KZfaq classic trance remake videos. He's an amazing producer and I love his humble attitude. While other producers let their success get to their heads, Jonas remains the same beautiful human being, he has always been.

I wish I had a decent travel budget for these vlogs, so I could interview all the people involved with certain tracks, but unfortunately that is not the case :( Jennifer lives in the USA and I am based in The Netherlands. I'm working full time and I simply don't have time / money for trips like that. Maybe one day when I get millions of views haha ;-) But for now, Muzikxpress is "just" a hobby, so I'm doing all these interviews myself in my (very limited) spare time. Thansk for your understanding! Note: Before people tell me I should do interviews via Skype/Zoom.... That is not going to happen, sorry! All 170 interviews on my channel are done in person. I like to sit down with the people and talk to them face to face instead of doing online interviews. I prefer the personal approach, which gives a way better result as well in my opinion. Yes I'm picky ;-)

Unfortunately that’s not something I would be able to do right now because of the costs involved. I have a very, very limited travel budget for these interviews (check the video I posted last Sunday!), but the Transa guys are interested in doing some interviews, so hopefully one day! 🤞🏻

@@muzikxpress No worries, You might disagree with me on this but I would define this track as progressive house it has a heavy vocals and the track is focused more on the chords rather than the melody and the way its been layered it even has those chords too which are more prominent in progressive house. Another a great track featuring Jennifer Rene is track Wouldn't change a thing by Jose Amnesia.
