The final drop on star glide is definitely my favorite on the whole album. The way the bridge starts with just voice, piano, and strings has such an attention grabbing contrast to all the layers just before. The chord choice is also fantastic. It feels like it's almost begging you to pay attention to the lyrics for the first time in the song. And the lyrics in that section perfectly set up the chorus. The buildup is fantastic from a musical standpoint with how it slowly keeps introducing new elements in the build, but it's also genius lyrically with it goes into the lyrics and melody from the previous buildups and repurposes them into the final drop. But you only realize that melody is coming back not even a second before the drop kicks in. And boy does it kick. The drums, the guitar, the strings. Everything feels so huge and triumphant. It's the third time we've heard the lyrics but it's the first time their content feels truly complimented and emotionally in sync with the music. "I feel like i could spread my wings and fly." That is exactly what that drop feels like. Like someone who kept saying they would do something but they lacked the courage. Then they were able to build up that courage (which is what the final buildup actually feels like) and finally spread their wings. A beautiful tone poem that is masterfully written.

Dude the range of music you react to is crazy. I first discovered you through your reactions to Novo amor, an artist I just recently got into. And now you're reacting to music from a label I've been listening to for over a decade. Consider me sold lol
