It was explained by IU that the train scene is a metaphor for her journey in the K-pop industry!! She's a soloist, and had to go through more than a decade fighting obstacles on her own. But she got through it, but not unscathed :') However it was revealed in her live yesterday that the song is about her welcoming the thirties while happily waving bye to her memories of spring - likening it to a 10yr relationship couple who has finally decided to call it quits during the spring, but it's a happy goodbye. "Love me only until this spring."

LILAC.. The train board listed all of her album. Shows her journey through the train. When she got on the train/entered the music industry. She was new, excited, shy and imitates her seniors, a learning phase for her. In black dress, she is enjoying her initial success. The fight scenes shows it wasn't easy for her to earn her bread, she fought through struggles to come though. The animated scene probably refers to Eight MV. She lost her close friends along the way and burying the sad memories. The change with change of theme and color scheme shows how that phase made her look at the world in new color/way. Ending scene, she leaves the 20's train, waving it goodbye, but the future is brighter.. She sees the 30's coming.. Coin IU compares her addiction work/music similar to gambling.. She started small with just a single coin, she earns her success, change of lifestyle and enjoy her life. Now she is taking a gamble, going all in, she is experimenting and trying out new genres, rapping etc.. Even if at the end she looses everything, she will not give up and will still continue again back from where she started.

The song 19:16 'Hi spring Bye' is a song made for her best friend Sulli, who has now passed away. She, who was active in the girl group f(x), suffered a lot of malicious comments and died in 2019. Because she passed away a few days before IU's 《Love Poem》 performance, IU struggled and suffered enough to put off the entire month-long performance until a month later, but now she smiles and sends it away. IU writes the introduction of the song directly in the album description, and you can see that IU wrote a letter to Sulli with the introduction of 'Hi Spring Bye' 멜론에서 설리님을 위해 쓴 편지인 앨범설명글 꼭 읽어보시길 바랍니다..ㅠㅠ She had been close to Sulli since her teenage debut, IU made her own song, 'Peach' (Sulli's nickname), for Sulli at the age of 20. It's so sad that at the end of her 20s at the age of 29, she sings another song for Sulli, who is no longer with IU. If my English writing is weird, I am sorry, but I hope the meaning was conveyed well.
