PENTAGON, which has showed various musical changes and development by participating in writing and composing its songs since the debut, returns with its new mini album in five months.
The title track “Naughty boy” is a song with a fantasy like a fairy tale in which a naughty boy is completely changes by a loved one. The cheerful reggae guitar and whistling sound that leads the overall mood of the song and the light and fun lyrics such as ‘just eat your fried chicken’ or ‘takes out the stone’ are impressive. The song was written by Hui and E’Dwan in collaboration with the producer team Flow Blow after “Shine”.

the politics of this release. this is the first release after dwan left the group, for the crime of dating hyuna. the reason shine got crazy popular was because of international fans. who got upset after they left. so you can also say cube fucked them. ( if they had supported dawn and hyuna it would have been another story entirely)

Honestly I feel like writing beautiful/meaningful lyrics gets shoved aside in a lot of kpop (and generally pop) songs, but THAT is what makes PTG so unique. I love it, I hope they never change

New fans might be unaware but this will be the third incomplete Pentagon comeback. Shinwon had to stop promoting a week into their debut because of an injury. Yanan couldn't promote during Critical Beauty because of an injury. They went through many trials to debut as 10. Pentagon will definitely return as 10. Yep. Let's support them and chat this song. Digital sales through Amazon and Itunes of the single and album can get them on Billboard at around the 12,000 mark from what I've read. Streaming on KZfaq, Apple Music, and/or Spotify can amount to an album sale if you stream it on demand 150 times with a subscribed account or 1500 times with a free account. This song is 3 and a half minutes long so if you stream it repeatedly for 3 hours a day for 4 weeks with a free account you'll have generated an album sale. Then Pentagon gets paid and the sale counts toward Billboard's US charts and gold/platinum certification of a record. So even the cash strapped can in essence buy the album.

*Pentagon will always have 10 members no matter what, now we're going through some difficult times but Pentagon still managed to comeback and please their fans. I don't like seeing people saying that they're unstanning Pentagon because E'Dawn is not here. Indeed, the group is not the same without our E'Dawn and Yanan but that doesn't mean you have to be rude to the rest of the members and not appreciating their work. I want to remind you that E'Dawn and Yanan didn't leave the group, they're just in hiatus. E'Dawn and Yanan want the best for their members and I'm sure they wouldn't approve the attitude that some people have. For now, those 8 amazing boys did their best for this comeback and I would like to see a lot of positive comments because that's what they deserve and all those fakes better eat a chicken and leave us alone. My view is this. This band is supposed to be a family, and yes, is portrayed as boyfriend material. But because of that portrayal, fans are put into a state of delusion where they believe that they have a chance with a man, who is either not in their country or doesn’t know they exist. So when reality smacks them in their faces, and they figure out “no don’t have a chance with this person” and they retaliate by demanding the boys be taken out of the band instead of accepting that they’re romantically happy with someone and move on. But that’s not why I stopped stanning them. In reality I’m just mentally boycotting cube entertainment all together, but- Pentagon dropped their brothers, their family, on the curb and expected us to be ok with that. Why the hell would anyone be ok with that? I’m sure as hell not.

Maybe non universe doesnt understand this story about this song. Let me explain : This song about an unteachable and naughty boy become a new man because of person he loves. A nerdy boys(Shine) change to a Naughty boy. Edawn and Hui was writes this song...... If u follow up their previous song, "Runaway" and "Like this"was have same vibe. Its like their chronology for their genre song. Demo 01 and Demo 02 album brings charismatic concepts.Positive and Thumbs Up album bring Brights concept. So im predicts that their will brings the different concept for their 8th album..i guess

what hurts the most is that pentagon's lyrics are best understood by native korean speakers in korea, but a large portion of korea still disregards them. as an international fan who is still struggling to learn korean, i find their lyrics to be very meaningful and each song addresses a different topic while still being very profound. wake up korea

This song sounds so lively and fun but it's gives off a sad vibe to it that i can't explain properly, maybe it's the lyrics about someone trying to move on with life and not caring about others judgement, the last scenes really sets the sad vibe to it, the weather, the landscape and the props it's like they are only the last people on the world and they are enjoying life to the fullest and possibly live forever. I don't know, I've actually heard and saw this MV a couple years ago when i was the biggest Pentagon fan but i didn't bother to focus alot on the MV and lyrics, all i thought was it's a cute song about a Naughty boy but turns out there's much more.... Im really glad that this showed up on my Newfeed again, such an underrated song that everyone needs to hear it's a shame that people nowadays mostly care about how good the song to the ears but completely ignoring the purpose and meaning of the song. Lastly I really wish the best for Pentagon even though im not such a big fan before...

cheong-gaeguri means green frog its titled as 'Naughty Boy' because of a korean tale of a frog who was disobedient and never listened to his mom. in Korea elders usually call their children by this name when they are naughty.

I know it’s sad not having E’dawn and Yanan here... but we need to remember all 8 of these guys worked their butts off for this comeback and we need to show the same amount of love and support as we would if E’dawn and Yanan were included. Just because they aren’t a part of this comeback doesn’t mean you should just ignore these talented guys... or say “it’s not the same without E’dawn and Yanan”. For those who don't understand why they are talking about frog, basically 청개구리 (blue frog maybe?) is a person who does the exact opposite of what we say to them. For example, at the beginning they say "If they say it's too loud, I'll sing nununana". So it means that they want to live as they want (they say that in the refrain) K thanks me later (benefit of being Korean lmao)

I get it that everyone misses E'Dawn and Yanan, but please remember to support the rest of Pentagon too. They work really hard and are just trying to make the best of what they can with the current situation. I'm sure both E'Dawn and Yanan would want everyone to support the comeback and to not complain about their absence or diss the song just because they're not in it. The song is amazing and the music video has a positive/energetic vibe. They did well and I'm proud of them. On a side note I do wish Yanan to recover and I hope that E'Dawn will be able to return to the group as well but I think it's important to support the eight members who are trying their best at this time despite being short two members.

Pentagon really captures the fun loving group of guys. Still sad that knetizens can't get over E'dawn dating. Also praying for Yanan's healing! Hope to see pentagon with the whole group again cause this song was missing something musically. Kinda felt like it needed E'dawn's nasally vocals and Yanan's softer ones to give this song more depth.
