데뷔 전부터 가요계 팬들의 관심을 받은 신인 걸그룹 ‘REDSQUARE’가 5월 19일 베일을 벗는다.
각기 다른 매력과 다른 색을 가진 그린, 리나, 채아, 아리, 보민 5명의 멤버로 구성된 REDSQUARE는 2020년 글로벌 엔터테인먼트 aboutent에서 처음으로 선보이는 신인 걸그룹이다.
REDSQUARE라는 독특한 팀 명은 누구에게나 사랑받는 음악이 있는 스퀘어라는 공간을 강렬한 레드로 물들여 대체불가한 K-POP의 랜드마크가 되겠다는 당찬 포부를 담았다.
이제 막 출발점에 선 다섯 명의 소녀들 ‘REDSQUARE’는 고유한 개성을 잃어버린 채 살아가는 사람들에게 다른 이야기를 들려주려 한다. 하고 싶은 얘기는 해야 직성이 풀리고, 남들의 눈치를 보는 것보다는 내 소신을 지키면서 살고 싶은, ‘요즘’의 이야기를 팀의 아이덴티티를 소개하는 [PREQUEL]의 타이틀곡 [ColorFull]을 통해 들려줄 예정이다.
중독성 있는 가사와 REDSQUARE만의 색을 보여주는 노래 ColorFull은 ‘너의 색은 무엇이니?’라는 물음과 자신의 개성을 지키는 방법인 가사 속 ‘내가 너를 물들여, 네가 나를 물들여, 우리 서로 물들어서 온 세상을 물들일래’라는 해답을 동시에 얘기하며, 사람들에게 각자 가지고 있는 개성을 소중히 생각하고, 지켜 나가자는 메시지를 전달한다. 이는 곧, 나의 개성을 소중히 생각하고 지켜 나가고자 하는 마음에서 시작된 이야기이기 때문이다.
그녀들의 정체성과 세상에 던지는 물음표와 그에 대한 해답을 공개하며 화려한 신고식을 치르는 ‘REDSQUARE’가 앞으로 어떠한 이야기로 다가올지 더욱 궁금증과 기대감을 갖게 한다.

Honestly, after a while watching the MV, I kind of hope that they would do it like EXID Ah Yeah MV whereas they revealed parts that is censored/hidden at the end of the video. It feel like, in the end, we can actually witness that one thing we've been waiting to see the entire MV. But well, guess they gonna do a follow up debut single like Cignature did, it would be cool

The fact that their faces are not visible makes everything so much interesting. Usually every kpop group debut MV makes sure to show everyone's faces in spotlight for several seconds to be sure that new fans and people will recognize them and go there "omg he/she is so pretty" but this says "no, have only our voices and dancing by now". Well done REDSQUARE I'm already exited for what will come next!

It reminds me of Park Bom when she finally returned - there weren't very many closeups of her in that first mv - think they wanted Koreans (and international fans) to listen to her incredible voice to remind themselves how important talent is - Redsquare is doing the same

the haters should be called "colorblind". note: i didn't write this comment to offend people with the condition, it was never my intention to mock/insult people who are colorblind. while i was writing this comment (before this apology) i didn't really think it through and didn't think of the consequences and the negative impact it will have. i thought it would be creative of me to call the haters colorblind because the song title was colorfull and haters just look on the negative side all the time and doesnt really look on the colorfull/bright side, in result, they're colorblind in a way, not the actual condition. i sincerely apologize to the people who were offended by this comment, and this taught me a lesson to think twice before typing.

I love how they dance as silhouettes so we focus on the color which is the whole theme of the song along with the covering of their eyes so we focus on the whole scene instead of their faces it's all genius

It's a cool idea and very unique in an industry that focuses on looks. It's just that the timing seems a little bad because this group isnt getting much attention since Secret number debuted with an Indonesian member, 2 Korean Americans, Korean and Japanese members. So the "international" fact is grabbing a lot of attention and creating so much buzz. Adding to that, their song is so trendy as well! I love this group and I've been stanning these girls for a very long time now, it's quite sad to see that they aren't getting much attention

Update as June 26 2022 ..now re-branded as New K-pop girl group IRRIS Green (I. L) Chaea (Liv) and Ari (Yunseul) are make it and new Member is Nina will debut in Next Month in 1st Mini Album.. Wanna Know On July 06 2022 PS : I did not expected as 4 members will more 5 or 6 plss support them and Unfortunately Lina and Bomin are Officiall left the group and Company

It just makes you disappointed, it's a problem that many kpop fans have, then they justify hate for something that is really their fault, expecting something... I didn't expect anything and I really LOVE it, the song, MV and the whole concept. I hope you don't hate just because you were waiting for something specific because that speaks a lot about you.

For those of you who came because of Eddie, REDSQUARE consists of five girls, four of them were once part of the group Good Day, which debuted with Rolly in 2017. The fifth is Lina, main vocal, who debuted in spring as soloist Blenn with the song "Do I Feel". It is rumored that there was another girl called HeeJin, who was also in Good Day (leader and main vocal). By now she is probably a songwriter and composer.

OK, okokok, THIS! So, huh! Let me collect myself....This was BOLD! First, so many textures were used from different girl groups, be it visual or audio, but they were masterfully woven together. Second, the fact that there wasn't a single clear shot of the members faces for the ENTIRE video was AMAZING! So counter intuitive! My jaw was on the floor when I realized it. Finally, the vocal production was a pleasure to listen to! I didn't mind all the familiar surroundings of this song because the harmonies really took me for a ride!! All right, REDSQUARE, I'm in it now! What else you got? . Edit: Hrrmmm. Upon my fourth viewing I realized there's absolutely no up close shot of the girl with the short blonde hair. She's only in the dance part. This reminds me of another rookie girl group that had to edit a member out of an mv because she left right before they debuted. That's not a good sign, plus she seemed to have the prechorus which was my favorite part of this song. What goes on?

So, what I've read is apparently Song Heejin (also former GoodDay member )was supposed to be in this group... as in, she filmed the mv with them. Recorded the song, etc. But was replaced with Lina.

@@aprils1888 No, it wasn't Nature. I'm having a hard time remembering the group. They had a silhouette close ups and a group scene where they were all on a couch but you could tell they used digital zoom to crop out the member that left. Errr, it's going to bug me now!!

I'm a daileee (weeekly fan) and the amount of times I've come to re-watch this song is uncountable, it's among my favourite debuts alongside Tag me and so bad this year! This group is cooked well, the beat, the music, the song, the vocals is no joke, the rap is not awkward and the creativity for making them blindfolded (I think this is the first time where the idol is blindfolded from the whole duration of the mv and it makes me excited)

i love the concept and hidden message that we’re supposed to look and admire their talent, not just their faces and beauty. but i don’t think it was the best idea to do this for their debut, the point of a debut is to introduce an artist to people, it’s hard for fans to connect with them through the m/v if you can’t see their faces and can’t tell who is who. btw, i’m not hating in any way i’m just stating my opinion. i really like this song and i will be listening to their future comebacks :)

And we already know their faces and personally I think even if not, connecting isnt a problem I know another group who never show their faces(HighSchool from richworld Entertainment) since pre debut. But the fans can tell them apart (even without the etters on the masks hehe) and connect very well especially through social media and Vlives but also thats just my expirience
