There was a jazz vocalist in the 1950's - Beverly Kenney (sp?). She had the same sound as Stacey Kent. And when I first heard Stacey, I was struck by their similarity. I was raised on good music like this, ( I'm now 70), and the daughter of two musicians..anyway this was a delight. I have been a Marcos Valle fan for years - this tune never gets old, huh? The cool thing is - just when you think you couldn't possibly hear another version of it..Valle does it in concert, or with another singer, and there it is, reborn!! Great music, thanks all.

@@pauloandrade8175 Pura verdade, talvez se deva que durante o período de divulgação nos anos 50, ficou conhecido como "new brazilian jazz" embora obviamente não seja, até mesmo pelo compasso 2/4 (compasso binário de samba). Pode ser também a tal "apropriação cultural" da indústria musical.

We need this music so badly in these times when people are a drift , tryin to find a new home, to survive corona, it is a challenge and to hear this music being so well performed with so much liveliness and pleasure, and with the right intention makes my heart sing. I must confess I had not listened to STACEY KENT before watching this set of videos she made with our MARCOS VALLE . . . Since then, I have simply fallen in love with her voice, talent and sexy figure. Once in a while, I feel the need of watching these videos again . . . I have been MARCOS VALLE's fan since 1964, but STACEY KENT brings a new sound I still have to explore . . . Congratulations to STACEY, MARCOS & JIM for this wonderful job !
