It is amazing we brothers and sisters grow a little we didn't perform the duty for the sake to be saved anymore and we don't have a selfish motives towards it or bargaining exchange by performing it. We now perform our duty for God and to satisfy God, and it is good... but when you came into the point that you are questioning yourself... is the essence of performing the duty is just to satisfy God? How to really perform the duty to satisfy God? Is it to have good result or be more devoted than anyone? This is not wrong either if you have correct motives by achieving it, but one must realize why such failures, setbacks, and trials occurs when performing one's duty? Some would say because they were being scrutinized and revealed while they perform their, so they have the chance to gain dispositional change and be saved. Yes it is correct, those who are wrong were corrected; while those who are perfect were tested.. Then why the perfect are tested like Job and Peter? Why they still suffer so? For I realize ever since man was corrupted, he really don't have a clear knowledge of God. That's why even Job has a pure reverence to God, his knowledge toward God is still limited. Also is Peter has the highest knowledge of God among the saints and holy of all ages. After he was crucified he still says he is not still satisfied, for man cannot fathom the entire knowledge towards God... There is limitation which man can attain, that makes him a man, a mortal being but the good thing even this little knowledge towards God if it is pure then it can help to gain a true love, reverence, and fear toward God. That's why I say if we really wish to satisfy God in performing duty, should not focus much in outwardly efforts and neglecting the essence of performing it. It is to know God in every arrangement and dealings while in process of performing it. Thanks be to Almighty God...
