I personally can do well with or without slide canceling, but where a movement skill gap comes in handy is for clutch situations and to me personally a perfect counter to the slow campy playstyle that is the meta of cod this year. I don't blame people for trying to find movement tech, as long as they aren't cheating it's fair game. It still somewhat allows player freedom to discover tech and things regular players wouldn't know unless your a KZfaqr giving every single detail on the best class setups or best meta which that's a whole different issue. This is the first cod for me where if I notice people camping or playing corners, leaving a riot shield on my back is a perfect counter for the boring slow playstyle people like to do. Is it scummy? Sure, is it also a great counter? Yes. Cod has become a game where if someone's trying ruin your day, ruin theirs first with other cheese and annoying tools and equipment. (Note: I do agree with the unnecessary movement stuff where people move their screens like a psychopath to look flashy when in reality it does nothing except maybe look flashy, to me it's a tad annoying and unnecessary.)

I get why people hated slide cancelling but they didn't have to completely neuter the movement like they did in MW2. They could have done a _slight_ nerf to sliding but instead they made it completely worthless and slowed the movement down, increasing camping/lowering the skill ceiling in the process. Even without abusing the exploits, MW19's movement felt _way_ better and more fluid.

I completely approve with how the color duty franchise from mono warfare 2019 to now has gone. I love the more realistic element, however, I am a huge realistic/simulator gamer I love escape from Tarkov! It is one of my favorite games in history. I love how call of duty is going that way.

I wish i was a og Call of Duty player. Cause my first cod game was bo3 and pretty much my last CoD game. I enjoyed bo3 but wasn’t a grinder just played multiplayer with friends. I did try black ops 4, Cold War, vanguard, infinite warfare, ww2, mw2019 for a bit but didn’t stick i just played for a few weeks each then gave up and move back to other game series but mw2022 got me hooked and it is the 1st cod game i took serious for grinding camos. But for now on i am gonna play any other cod game that comes next. I regret not playing older cods as much as i did with the new mw2 and bo3

Call of duty went from “Warzone” movement to “CSGO” movement.

You summed it up pretty well in the first 30 seconds with one word: Exploits. Slide Canceling, B-Hopping, the Stim speed boost, all of these are exploits that weren't intended to be in the game at all that IW couldn't find a fix for during their year of CoD. Now that they are, every Try-hard and their mothers are complaining that something that wasn't supposed to exist doesn't exist anymore.

Hmm. Warzone 2.0 is the same game. It is Warzone 1 with a view changes. Early symptoms of Warzone 1 are even back again, like if you use mouse wheel up for something else than zooming in on the map, zooming in on the map will not work, allthough it is showing, you have to use mouse wheel up for zooming in. You can not change zooming in the map, to any other button. In Warzone 1 it got fixed. Now in Warzone 2 it is back. I use mouse wheel up for jumping in Warzone 1, and i still can zoom into the map with that. Now i haveto wait again, till this dogshit gets fixed.

mw2 2 is far from the best cod ever that title goes to either cod4 , mw2 or bo1. Like its not even close bro

Warzone 2.0/DMZ is amazing & I'm enjoying it so much more because there isn't tryhard slide cancelling everywhere, but there is a place for those tryhards, it's called Caldera 😆
