That's actually really interesting. Another thing I've learned after playing enough veteran is that when your health is low enemy accuracy goes way up, and same deal if you're aiming down sights, they just laser beam you, sometimes it's better to just jump around a corner and hipfire at them.

What I've explained (poorly, I might add because it was late when I wrote it), is the reason why in multiplayer, you experience the phenomenon of being on top of the leaderboard one game and the next, it seems like your weapon can only fire terrified bubbles. Most players errantly chalk this up to SBMM or the net code or lag comp. But, its not. The in-game effects caused by these things are completely different. For instance, (as you probably know) SBMM determines what lobby to put you in based largely on how well your did in the last game. Net code/lag comp is the timing of what you see vs. the reality of what's happening server side as compared to what you're opponent sees. For example, you're running and jump out from around a corner and there's an enemy player camping the lane. Lag comp determines when he sees you vs. when you see him. This dynamic can be spoofed by lagging out your internet connection because lag comp invariably favors those with shitty connections. We used to run a streaming video or something in the background to take up bandwidth so it would trick games like MW3 into thinking we had a crappy connection so it give us lobby host. The good ol days of when you could use a kick tool to bounce cheaters. How about the infuriating experience of "first to fire, first to die"? How many times have you been absolutely certain you've got the drop on an enemy, you open fire and the next thing you know, you're watching a replay video of your own death? That's dynamic difficulty adjustment. Practically all Activision and EA game titles have been quietly upgraded with this algorithm. The property owners never made the update public. I found out about it purely by accident. I was researching an issue for my employer that took me to the patent office website and I got sidetracked when I saw patent applications filed by EA and Activision. Sorry for the long rant. But, I think this DDA thing is complete BS and has ruined online gaming for me, at least as far as COD and BF are concerned. I've been playing those games since the launch of their first titles. You'd be surprised at just how many players will outright reject what I've said and won't believe it. Not even when I give them the link to the actual patent applications so they can read them for themselves. Cheers!

@@guccihobo115 This is different than SBMM. SBMM groups players according to skill and puts them into the same lobbies. This algorithm changes the game's dynamics on the fly while in-game. If your stats are better than the player you encounter, the game will change your meta to give the weaker player an advantage. This is why there are times your character can do no wrong and other times, its as if your character can only shoot terrified bubbles.

it's kinda true though lol, every now and then you will come across an enemy with literal wallhacks and aimbot, usually they miss a bit, or react more slowly, but it's random lol

@@klooger28 I do wonder how much is possible... I did complete a veteran with fortitude run, so I started again adding on desperation as well (I think? - whatever challenge makes it so only kills restore health) but stopped after about a week and only halfway through the campaign.

@@dallasdrotts4907 Any would be possible with enough determination, though I think desperation might be the hardest one lol.
