A lot of people look over the M4A1 but it's still a fairly common sight. I almost never see anybody use a G36 despite the fact that it's probably the best or second best fully automatic assault rifle in Modern Warfare 3. The G36C has an high rate of fire, fast time to kill, very fast reload, and moderate damage. The only thing it doesn't have is low recoil. The gun kicks hard, but like the MP7 it just kicks straight up. There is almost no side to side wobbly at all so the recoil is very easy to predict and master. This was filmed in an open lobby. This gun is the bomb. When I took a golden G36C with Red Dot Sight and Silencer from a dead enemy, I felt like Arthur pulling out Excalibur. I knew that instant my team was going to win that match, and we did.

No, it's crap. The CM901 is outclassed by the AK-47 across the board. It's not the weakest weapon ever, and you can do well, but it's outclassed by every other assault rifle.

The ACR has a symmetric recoil profile and the fastest reloads of any primary weapon in MW3. You don't really have to adjust for kick when using the ACR, which makes it very easy to handle. The G36C instead has 0 horizontal recoil and only kicks up. If you can control the vertical kick and know when to switch to a secondary, use the G36C. Basically the ACR is more noob friendly while the G36C requires better in-game senses to outclass the ACR.

@BackpackBanjo Different situations. In CoD4 I used the G36C more than any other assault rifle. It was my go to tryhard must win weapon. The Skorpion was the most fun gun to use. Much trolling good times with that little monster. Also very fun from that game was the AK47+silencer, MP5, and P90.

Way faster? The M4 kills 2 milliseconds faster, or .002 seconds, or roughly 1/100th the time of a blink of an eye.

I will never forget this gun. One day, Interchange, it was in Novermber, game still fresh... I jumped in with the G36, where there is a narrow path with the fire truck, I saw 3, bam, triple, got 4, a multi, then 3 respawned and got a triple, a double, survived a RPG, then died.

Indeed. The gun itself is pretty good but the sights just fucking blow, and are only worsened by the recoil.

I find that running marksman fixes the sights. I usually use a silencer and extended mags so marksman helps greatly wirh the horse blinder irons.

I have no problems with the iron sights and with Kick Proficiency, Extended Mags, and Stalker, it is perfect for me when going around corners, but it's in my own opinion.

most ppl don't know this, but in the original modern warfare, the G36 had a built in feature where crouching reduced the reticle sway, even further reduction in reticle sway while prone, makes it unusually really good with the acog scope because acog scope is notorious for magnifying any other weapons default weapon sway while zooming in i don't know if it still works like this in mw3, but i like to rock the G36 in mw3 in the spirit of how great it was in the original mw

I got 31-7 on Ground War with this gun and the other team mainly had ACRs. It felt good to kick their ass with this highly underrated weapon.

@26demonizer39 I loved the MW2 M16. It may have had less range the MW2 Famas but it was more accurate when you put the holographic sight on it. My first Respawn video was me raping face with the M16 on Derail.

Silencer, Red Dot, and Recon. Definitely my favorite gun/setup. Super fast reload, and now that I know about the Raise/Drop, it just verifies even more that you don't need SoH with the G36. Also great for Anti-Air class using Blind Eye.

Another really important fact about the G36c is that it's center time (the time it takes to recover from recoil) is very fast, so shooting in bursts is VERY effective. you don't even have to wait after each burst just pull the trigger as if it were semi-auto and it is pretty freakin accurate.

@Drifr0r I know this is almost the most common set up for all assault rifles but a red dot and silencer looks and feels like the recoil is much more manageable. I don't know if it's just a comfort thing, but to me it makes the G36 feel like a laser.

@moflombi Sadly, probably doing more harm. The P90 has good range and recoil but it's actually one of the slower shooting SMGs.

Red Dot+Silencer also seems to be very powerful on this gun if you can burst/manage the recoil a little. It's a perfect gun for specialist (Start: SoH, Assassin, Dead Silence Special: QD, Scav, Stalk)

As for the swap times, if you put sleight of hand pro on with a secondary akimbo Five seveN, you have two very fast swapping and reloading weapons, making it damn near perfect for rushing with quickdraw and steady aim pro. At least in theory.

Truly underrated but a versatile weapon.Not to mention,one of the weapon with the coolest grenade launcher attachment ever seen(M320 GL was adapted from the G36's AG36 launcher for USA use,hence the similar way of using the M320 compared to the original AG36.M320 ALMOST got me tricked when I first saw her XP).

I've been staying away from kick with the G36C lately. My setup of choice is a RDS + Ext Mags. High accuracy with some added spraying power for those tense situations.

Actually the G36C kicks up then down, it doesn't just kick straight up. It has the fastest centerspeed out of all assault rifles in MW3 so its pretty accurate.

i really really enjoyed this gun in cod 4 and still in mw3 EVERYBODY complains about its recoil if you just control the recoil but burst firing it is AMAZING i use it with silencer and impact its badass.

I use stability a lot on the G36C and if I'm not using kick for 2 attachments or some other proficiency I aim at the chest and it rides up to their head, nice 'n smoothly

it does have insane recoil without kick, i can sometimes shoot far away enemies whilst correcting recoil easily but other times it kicks right up way above my target its so random

my favorite way to use this gun is with silencer and thermal. I find the silencer helps shoot straight and the thermal helps me take out people further away, if not i can just spray

raise & drop time is much more complicated than just what the stats say. swap time between 2 primary has additional coding parameters, unlike prim to 2nd, the animation isnt the same. try this, fire 1 shot from a sniper, and then a pistol, try to fire swap fire as fast as u can, now do the same with sniper swap to g36, u will see and hear, its not nearly as instant.

Marksman will also help pared with the kick proficiency. I recommend make two classes with each yellow perk and experiment with the gun.

I never use the red dot sight on the G36c because I feel that the kick is amplified, even with the Kick perk. I always use the iron sights and would recommend the silencer.

This gun beats the ACR by far. Just hold the trigger down at close range and tap fire at long range. The recoil takes a bit of time to kick in so just do 2-3 shot bursts and it's laser accurate.

I love running this gun with 2 Attch and use Silencer and either extended mags or red dot, and then using specialist for extra perks :) and I like to keep Akimbo G18s

Use the Red Dot and Silencer, It helps get you headshots when you aim for the chest the gun kicks up and hits the head. It gives you a faster ttk, and more points.

@TheStroomis At 41 meters the damage drop ends. Which means that the weapon doesnt do "0" damage that the bullets no longer drop in damage. Thats what Drift0r means by "damage drop".

My G36C is level 30 half way to 31. I usually use red dot or thermal. This gun is by far my favorite assault rifle

It's when you cancel your reload animation, e.g. the G36C's reload animation takes 3 seconds to finish, but it's already reloaded in half of the time, so you can cancel the animation and start shooting after 1,5 seconds already.

I use the G36C when I play in long range maps such as Fallen and all that. It is a good gun don't me wrong, but sometimes, it just feel like it has so much recoil even when you have kick. Its like you have to start shooting at the leg because as you shoot, your aim goes higher and higher cause of the recoil. Still, its a pretty good gun

I run The G36C with Red Dot and Silencer and I have one class for Specialist and one for support(Emp), I never used it in COD4, I ran the MP5 and the M4A1 exclusive. but I love it in MW3

@TheAmazingKent I know what you mean. The G36c doesnt feel uncomfortable in CQ and to me feels like a larger UMP. I like it for explosive classes also.

4:18 The c in G36c is there for a reason, the compact design of the gun (conveniently what the c stands for)makes it one of the most mobile rifles ever made.
