Last night I was playing in the Dark Aether with my cousin, and I got the plans for crafting this weapon from a reward rift. We all died, lol. I got up this morning and logged in. Deployed and saw a tombstone logo on the map (apparently, I forgot I had a tombstone perk with me when I was in the Dark Aether). I went to the tombstone and recovered my V-R11 plans! That brought me to this video, because I wanted to know what it does. Thanks for the info! Now I am more confident in going into the Dark Aether!

okay to sum it up, it's brain rot in gun form which can also turn mercs, can buff teammates temporarily (zombie blood and a 2x~ish damage increase) can repair vehicles including the ATV, and looks like the needler from Halo but DOOM guy painted it apart from the various ways of acquiring it did I miss anything?

I personaly thing the scorcher is best wepon or wanderwaffe because the chain kills . But yeah solo on the escort in the Aether is crazy so the vr11 comes in way more handy if the damn mega spawns on it .

I've beaten the elder sidgil escort contract twice without the VR-11. Three players in total, two of them are very good (my friends) and me (a mediocre zombies player lol). All we bring is a jug suit each for the 2 or 3 mega abominations that spawn during the contract and tons of self revives, bring a dog if you can as well. Also sentrys to place on top of the vehicle helps.

Didn't know it repaired vehicles. Was doing a deliver cargo contract the other day and a clown coming the other direction decided to ram me. Vehicle came to a complete stop and the helicopter damn near destroyed the truck. Had a VR11 in the rucksack but didn't think to use it. Now i know. Salute to you for the video.

It was about 3 days ago when I found it, so I suppose my post made it seem like I've had it longer. I just didn't know what to do with it, hence being here to use it properly lol.

Ive just come out of a Red Worm fight after collecting a leg aether tool, scorcher case and a Schematic for the vr11. Everything exfilled aside from the chuffing vr11 schematic. Didnt register with me i dont have that yet as i dont use the wonder weapons tbh but coming on here it seems its not out yet so maybe thats why it hasnt exfilled. 🤷‍♂️

@Joemet123 I got the scorcher case from the worm and I got the leg aether tool acquisition and the vr11 schematic from the reward rift. Double checked what i had prior to exfil as I wasn't sure what I'd grabbed from the worm due to it being a free for all, lol

@Joemet123 definitely the schematic, I saw it and just exfilled the map. Did a proper exfil aswell as I wasn't sure I'd seen that in my collection. Once it had gone through the loading i knew it had gone as it was the second to last thing in my bag and wasn't there. I looked but its not in my craftable items. Restarted ps5 and the level but it hasn't come back.

There is very good movement with it. There may be zero movement penalty with it (not sure), hence why you feel that way

No crap bro like the escort contract is the single biggest obstacle that deters me from every trying to go into the dark aether solo. In fact, I recall only beating it once. We just 6-man'd elder sigil dark aether and by the time we finished the ACV's health was still at 97%. It's almost like a joke compared to trying to do it solo or just with less players in general. I'm all for a harder challenge but when it takes so much for a solo player to even have a chance of completing it whereas the same problem can be easily solved by having more ppl on your team, then I don't think they did a very good job balancing it The VR-11's ability to repair vehicles is almost like they did it on purpose. Like back when tier 3 zone was considered the hardest, the Scorcher is a significantly useful tool for getting around and escaping. But there was no schematic for it. Now we're moving on to the dark aether and the VR-11 makes completing one of the contracts almost necessary. I like the idea of having a secret wonder weapon that helps a lot with the hardest challenge but the fact that its sole requirement is for you to get lucky first doesn't make it much appealing to me

putting turrets on top of it, the RGL punched up to 3, the field up grade that explodes, aether blade, gold plate, and dog help with this. You mainly need to try to keep the vehicle from getting too much damage.

@@RoyalPainPrincess Yeah thanks for the tip my friend I figured that's one way to do it. I did it again with 2 random teammates yesterday, which is not exactly expected since I never turn on squad fill but the game turns it on for me every once in a while it's honestly not like the first time it happens. I wasn't even planning to enter I just crashed last game and only wanted to max out my char and dip but one of them was apparently so excited about bringing us all into the elder dark aether. And a weird glitch took away my guns as well so I can only use aether blades. We barely made it at last right as the ACV's hp hits 0%. Still I think it takes too much prep and time for a solo player to even have a chance to finish it. I'd rather go for them secret keys after completing the other 2 contracts
