I've just started building Gunpla within the past few months, so far I've stuck with HG's and the RG Exia. I have to say, so far out of the 9 kits I've built the GM/GM has been my favorite, I love the colours and overall look of the kit and the build process was fun and simple! I've recently added some water transfers from an MG to it to make it feel like a proper EFSF GM and it looks fantastic. I've also built the Leopard Da Vinci, Rouei and will be building the Zaku II from Origin.

GM/GM and Zaku II Type C5 are my favorite 2017 kits. So much so that i modded my GM/GM to resemble the GM Command Space Type by cannibalizing my RX 78 2s Arms.

The gold frame amatsu mina was SUCH an awesome kit! That is definitely one of my favorite kits of all time.

I loved loved loved the Gold Astra. Probably my favorite of the year. I made it the centerpiece of my collection just for how cool it looks. It really draws the eye in to the rest of my collection. I admit the stand does ding it a little bit....but keep it on the stand while posing it with the Red Astra [One of my all time favorites] turned out pretty good.

Hey 2S, just wanted to say that I really like your videos, and appreciate that your 2017 list is mostly kits that don't get enough spotlight.

2017 was like a boom in Gunpla for me cause I built maybe 15 or 16 kits, while in other years I built 2 or 3. I plan to make a list as well, but my favourite kits I built this year were the HG Barbatos Lupus, HG Origin Zaku II Black Tristar, RG Unicorn, MG Blitz Gundam (my first MG), RG Unicorn, HG EZsr, RG Sinanju, RG Build Strike, HG Kimaris Vidar and my absolute favourite kit this year has to go to the RG Gundam Mk II. Now I can't wait to find out what Santa stole from Bandai to put under my tree.

Been on a seed kick this year having built the mg strike, duel, Justice, freedom, and providence. Also some hg ibo kits the dantilion and vual. Favorite was probably the Justice. I just love the backpack and that it came with an actionbase lol

MG Justice was my favorite! I loved last years Freedom 2.0 but this was the kit I have wanted since I built the RG Justice. The RG was amazing looking but was a plastic hand grenade. MG on the other hand is solid expect for the hips other wise it's great.

Just built the HGUC Jegan yesterday and I love it

As of now, my favorite build was the RG Unicorn Gundam.

I have the GM Sniper 2, a great kit, now I plan to add, the GM Command to this list.

I loved the RX-79(GS) Gundam Ground Type from Gundam Thunderbolt , was just a great kit to build & looks sweet :)

I only got into gunpla this year and I'm a student so I built my first gunpla; HG Farsia Gundame AGE...I was really bummed to find out later AGE is not popular so my dreams of MG Farsia will never com true. I also built lousy knockoff my elder brother found and we named it ironically, "strong beautiful boy" XD!

My favorite gunpla that I built this year has to go to my boy, the gm sniper II. It's just so freakin awesome!

this year I only built are the RG models Gold Astray Amatsu and RG Unicorn. Both worth the price and time to build.

The 1/100 Gundam Barbatos 6th form is my favourite kit for this year.

Good work, man! I agree with the list, except for the GM Sniper II, which I would rank towards the top.

At the time of this comment going live, I have only built 4 kits, only 1 of which was from 2017 and all of which were High Grades. #4 Goes to the Zeta Gundam from the Gunpla Evolution Project only because of the sideways joint on the chest connection was way too loose. #3 Is the Prototype Gouf Tactical Demonstrator. This was my first kit and it was really good. The faults on it were the bulky design kind of limiting the articulation and WAY too many marking stickers, but it is still very good. #2 Goes to the Gundam Dynames. Articulation is good for it's time, stickers are not a pain somehow, and the visuals that you get at the end are very good. The only thing bad about it in my opinion is the kind of looseness on the head of mine. #1 Has to go to the Gundam Barbatos 6th Form. Articulation is fantastic, stickers, while plentiful, look fine on the completed model, and the diversity of display options is stellar!

Some of my favorite builds, though not necessarily 2017 kits, were RE-100 Dijeh, RGHM-79 GM Sniper, Efreet, Susanowo, Masuaro, Bawoo, and my favorite of them all: THE O!!!

the only kit from 2017 i did this year was the providence gundam. I got into the hobby this summer. Did a couple hg's then promptly moved to master grades! so far the best kit i have made is a tie between my mg johnny ridden zaku or the origin rx-78-2

The only kit I made that came out this year is the gundam local type north American version. Pretty good if you don't mind stickers, for this kit there essential.

Looks like I'll end up getting the RG Unicorn, the reviews are really good. I skipped on buying one since the Sinanju disappointed me. The GM/GM being on the top is kinda surprising but I agree, the fun that such a simple kit brings is top notch. The GM ground type and Blue Destiny Exam are really nice kits. I might get the Zaku II type C5 too. Nice video.

hmmmm 1. ReZEL Type-C Defenser B-unit 2. GM Sniper K9 3./4. Vidar and Force Impulse all HG, and god the ReZEL is good, surprisingly articulated for that kind of MS, GM Sniper K9 is also good but god the ReZEL is the best for this year

The RG Unicorn was a bit of a pain to build at in some aspects that were a bit more fragile like the shoulders (also those shoulder connectors are garbage and can rot in hell) but I'm super satisfied and will definitely pick up the Banshee when that's out too for posing purposes, though I'm less of a fan of its design over the cleaner-looking Unicorn. Also, not to bag on your waifu but I can't stand designs like the gold frame Astray. It just looks so gaudy and toy-like.

Glad you did not include any P Bandai kits, same credit goes to Zaku Aurelius for doing the same.

Yet again, unicorn gundam keeps getting to the top probably because they have done that model with so many grades.... SD, HG and RG 1/144, MG 1/100, ver ka's, PG 1/60, Mega Size which I own, Titanium finish version, The 1/1 life size scale that they have at the gundam base in japan tokyo, and now the new 1/20 self transforming version with LED'S that will probably come out this year. I used to build 1/144 RG kits but I kind of stoped and only did the 1/100 kits regardless of grade since I don't have a lot of space in my house.... like at all.... so I basically had to be VERY picky on what kits I want. Btw if you did own the PG Exia LED model then it would probably be number 1 here, it's just that good.

Gunpla Waifu! XD I tend to refer to the Rouei as Female seeing as it's a Turbines MS, there's only one guy in that faction and he never piloted an MS. I do the same with any MS thats main pilot is a lady. (Psyco Mk1/Mk2, Palace Athene, Bolinoak Samahn, Kshatriya, etc) Banshee confuses the issue though. Banshee was Marida but Norn was Riddhe. :/
