I received two pufferfish this year as a gift. I love them! Even in their first year: Strong stems, early blooming. They bloomed at the same time or earlier than my quickfires. They are planted in full sun zone 7. I noticed they need more water than my other panicles. They can start to wilt easily. They aren’t as heat tolerant/need more water as my limelight primes. I sprayed the leaves with wiltpruf and that seems to help. They are gorgeous and do not flop on me. Highly recommend!

Hydrangeas are my favorite, I purchased Little Lime Punch last year and it was beautiful, hopefully does even better this year. Thanks for the update of new shrubs!

Agreed with firelight tidbit. It is my most favorite panicle hydrangea. It’s so beautiful in person. The color transition is amazingly beautiful. It looks like a painting. Make sure it will receive a bit of afternoon sunlight break . Videos and pictures online don’t do it justice. It’s a must to have if you love hydrangeas. I am in zone 5b 🇺🇸.

So much fun to learn all the plants I can spend all my disposable income on! I have a question, as a semi new gardener. When you say the Cedar Rapids is a fast grower, how do much yearly growth-after established? It is one of my new favorites as of today! Thank you for so much inspiration and education ❤

Thanks for the “coming soon” update! Puffer Fish is already on my wish list for new hydrangeas (as is Grin & Tonic 😊) - and how perfectly named is it?! - but now I have to add Desert Orchid as well! What an unusual shrub (for those of us in zone 6, anyway). I’d never heard of it before. Flowers look a bit like snapdragons! Really interesting. I love that it’s a Summer bloomer, too - I can see this taking over from Rhododendrons in the seasonal “bloom flow” of a garden.

Ah man, now I have to add Top Fun to my buying list, too! My wallet is very upset with this video 😂 The Tuff Stuff series has become my favourite - just so tough as the name implies. I have very little shade and they power through hot dry summers yet can also take it when we get a week of non-stop rain. And the lace cap look has really grown on me - I think I prefer it now. Highly recommend this series for anyone who hasn’t tried them yet 👍🏻

Do you think the Cedar Rapids looks good on it’s own or is it a better look for hedging only? Are they fairly fast growing? Zone 6-ish outside of Niagara Falls in Canada. 🇨🇦 Good content and info, subscribed today. *** I think I got my answer from your link, I guess it will depend on my zone for growth. Will that puffer fish handle zone 7 HOT sun in East TN? I think my favorite on this video is the Puffer Fish and the Chitalpa

I would recommend maybe apart shade location. I think if you keep it well watered that would help.

Absolutely great shrubs and colors except that pollinators can not find any nectar on Hydrangeas

I’m a zone 3 maybe 4, I hate sitting through the videos only to find nothing for me. Your videos are amazing but I can’t grow any of these plants. Maybe a curtesy heads up of zone range prior to presentation like the plants I’m going to show you range from 5 to 9 something like that.
