Here's a compilation reel highlighting my ten most memorable trail cam videos, featuring whitetail deer, turkeys, fishers, wood ducks, a beaver, a red-tailed hawk, and a police tactical unit.
With over 500 trail cam videos in the archives, it wasn't an easy feat to narrow down my choice for the top ten, but these that I chose certainly were memorable.
The fun thing about trail cameras is you never know what you might capture on video!
Which is your favourite game camera video? Be sure to leave a comment and let me know.

This clip has actually fooled quite a few people. That 'doe' is actually a buck - in fact, the same buck that shed his one antler in video #1. The karate kick clip was filmed a day or two after he shed his antler. These two bucks were best buddies, always hanging out together and bedding down side by side. But when it came to food, one definitely ran the show, haha! Thanks for watching 😊

Hands-down the biggest buck I have captured on any of the cams. He made a total of five separate appearances that year, never to be seen again. My buddy did find one of his shed antlers, about a month after he last showed up and maybe 3 miles away from my trail cam location. Here's a video showing all five visits: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iNRdgtaexLO7cY0.html Thanks for watching!

#1 is an absolute amazing capture of a buck dropping his antler. #3 is a once in a lifetime capture of a military training session. I am going to have to say that #5 is my favorite capture. It is a monster of a buck captured in daytime. I am just hopeful that someday I will be able to put together a super top 10 list of my captures?

That antler drop is definitely going to be a hard one for me to top! But hey, you just never know. And that buck is the largest I have captured on one of the cams to date. He only showed himself five times and then he was gone. My one buddy did find his shed antler though, about three weeks or so after his last appearance and some 4km's away. You're getting some great stuff, Kevin - and you're super lucky to have moose in your area!

I’ve tried to capture an antler drop for years
@JustinHoffman
@JustinHoffman Жыл бұрын
Same here. The year I captured this, I had five cams up with fresh cedar piles in front of each. Funny enough, the day before this guy shed his one side, I had a buck drop both sides at the same trail cam site. Sadly, he dropped them about ten feet to the side and five feet back. Sigh!!! I did capture video where an audible 'thump' is heard then he jumps in front of the camera shaking his head. A doe was in front of the cam at the time so that's why the video was running. They were laying about nine feet apart. Now that double drop would have been sweet to get on film!
@TylerMcMahan
@TylerMcMahan Жыл бұрын
What’s in that pile the deer are nibbling on? Briars?
@JustinHoffman
@JustinHoffman Жыл бұрын
That is fresh cedar - a staple and favourite food for whitetail here. If the winter is very cold, or we have lots of snow, I will often put down a pile at my trail cams each time checking them. They eat it up like candy.

These are awesome clips! Just curious, what type of branches are you piling in front of the cameras that the deer are eating? Thanks for the video
@JustinHoffman
@JustinHoffman Жыл бұрын
Cheers, Josh - glad to hear you enjoyed them. Those 'branches' are fresh cedar. A main dietary staple for whitetail here during the winter. Problem is, they love it so much that much of it is out of reach for them. Each winter, when snow gets deep or temps are particularly frigid, I will put a pile down each time I check my cams. Gives them that added easy food source post-rut and also, as is always my hope, sets up the possibility for a buck to shed in front of one of the trail cams - which fortunately happened!

No idea on a score. He is one of the biggest bucks, in terms of antler size, I've seen or captured. My buddy did find his one shed antler that year, about six weeks later and maybe 4 miles away. He's never been seen since. This area is off-limits to hunting but they do cross busy roads, which sadly, can be their fate.

I love deer. They are beautiful & elegant. How people can kill them is beyond me. For the antlers? Go hiking through the forest on an antler search they drop them every year. Dont have to kill them. The bucks you are killing would father more fawns if you did not take their life. And, for what? !

I am an avid antler hunter, spending many days in the early winter and spring searching high and low for sheds. Personally not a hunter, and the land all of my cams are hung is off-limits to hunting. Saying that, I am not against ethical hunting for food. I eat meat. Food from the wild, including venison, is far better for you - and more humane - than the meat found on the shelves at your local grocery store.

Cheers, Tom - outdoing that antler drop is going to be a hard, that's for sure. This is public land. Apparently the police were doing a hostage rescue maneuver.

Haha! Turns out it was a search and rescue/hostage training session. In their defense, this was at the end and their vehicles were within sight.

The people on that training excise needs a lot more training because they were way to loud an enemy in ambush would have wiped them out no problem

From what I was told, it was a search and rescue/hostage exercise. This was also police not military. I also believe this was at the end and once the exercise had finished, as their vehicles were parked only 100 yards away and in the direction they were heading. Still, a pretty crazy surprise on the cam that day! Thanks for watching!

I'm in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Beautiful out here and plenty of natural spaces. That was a pair of Fisher. Cool little animals! Thanks for watching!

Some very nice footage of several species. I guess my favorite was the big buck with like 13? Points. But the wife likes the minks, weasels or whatever they are. Thanks for sharing your land, time and animals. 🦅🦌🦃🦆🦦🎥💯👍

Cheers, Joel! The buck is a 14-pointer. Definitely the most impressive deer I've captured with the cams. The other animals were fishers. Thanks for watching 😊

@@JustinHoffman thank you, wasn’t sure I’ve only ever saw one fisher in person. It was so far up a spruce tree in Michigan I couldn’t see it much. You got some nice videos and a fun outdoor adventure channel. Subbed a minute ago. Wishing you and yours the best from me and mine. 👍💯

I once 2008? Took a moonlight swim in lake Maggore in Italy. I swam towards the swans family and mom pushed her oldest sun towards me. He still knows me and comes by one a year. Wishfull thinking maybe🙏🕯💝
