I think with Matt Dillons Character as Dallas, he didn't know how to cry. He didn't know how to show emotion or that he couldn't with everything he had been through. Ppl become hardened. I think he did a spectacular job in every scene, especially when he's dying. He's fighting to stay alive. You can feel it the intensity of his grasping for breath.

Okay the scene at the lot, I was laughing because of Ralph's double chin. With Matt's scene one, take into to consider that Dally isn't supposed to know how to cry, like he hasn't cried in years, so it fit better, but I can see where your coming from. I used to think that too. The book was better. There was more details in it. The ship one OML thank you!! I read some of those and get so uncomfortable. I hate it! But altogether, I'm with you. Those are just a few exceptions.

Johnny was never soft. He's kind, caring, considerate, and makes sure the gang is safe. its like 1 am so my analysis isnt gonna make any sense but im gonna try Johnny is extremely considerate, and you can see it reflected in scenes like the one where pony gets sick after waking up. He idolizes Dally, and thats why Dally cares for him so much. Johnny isnt soft, a lot of characters who are anxious, Ab*sed, ect, get a wrap as beinh soft when really theyre just in a constant state of fight or flight. He cares about ponyboy more than anything, and even if you dont ship johnnyboy its still extremely true. Also Dallas isnt a good person, but he's also only playing a lot of the cards he's dealt. He's damaged, which doesnt atone for any of the bad stuff he does, but provides an explanation for his behavior. Getting arrested at 10, growing up in bronx street gangs, and everything else he went through is something that would change anybody OK MY UNPOPULAR OPINION: Steve Randle is a very unlikable person

I AGREE with most. My parents wanted to watch the outsiders since I wouldn't stop talking about it, and in that uncomfy scene I went to the bathroom, I was like yeah I'm out. I have no idea what it is, I just felt so uncomfortable.

I never thought of johnny as the baby, i always thought of him as kind of like the quiet kid, if that makes sense. Johnny isn't a baby. He seems sweet and all but he's still tough. All of the greasers are tough, thats probably part of why they're greasers and he can defend himself for sure. Just because he got jumped badly but doesn't mean all of a sudden he lost of capability of self defense. Same with Ponyboy, he seems sweet too, the both of them are, but that doesn't mean they're all sunshine and rainbows. They get into fight, steal stuff and do a bunch of bad stuff. Don't forget about that. This doesn't mean they are super bad and agressive and mean I'm just saying they arent babies and would probably beat the crap out of anyone with no hesitation if they really wanted too.

MAN. Matt Dillon did really good in this movie, but if they let him act like Rusty-James in Rumble Fish it would have been phenomenal‼️The emotion, the humor, the lines were so much like Dally in the book I swear if they let him say “fck” at least once he would be set

my opinions that may be unpopular or not idk: - cherry and steve are the most overhated characters in this fandom for no reason - some ppl in this fandom s3xualiz3 ponyboy way too much - johnny x ponyboy is boring :) - a lot of ppl in this fandom (younger fans i think) miss the point of the book. they demonize the socs too much and make the greasers look like saints - dallas and bob are basically the same character, but we only see pony’s pov so ofc it’s biased. cherry=johnny cus they both humanize the two worst ppl in the book (moral wise) - and i’m tired of ppl treating dally like he was victim of sylvia or something. it’s more likely they both cheated on eachother 🤷🏽‍♀️ - the cast’s promo pictures/headshots are awkward to look at lol - a little random but bob’s and randy’s actor should’ve switched places

the dally being a bad person is kinda true but he had a terrible home life, and he didn't really have anyone to comfort him, and he grew up thinking you should bottle up your emotions and he had to let them out somehow. It’s so hard for me to admit it because I absolutely LOVE dally, but he really isn’t a good person. I mean, he does some ok things, like helping out Johnny and Pony, but I mean he’s not very nice. Johnny is order than ponyboy so he seen a lot of stuff in life, he been through abuse by, not just his parents but also by socs, and he tolerate being beaten up and doesn't cry (until the part when the socs got him real bad). He's not a baby, he's a teenager who been through a lot. And for the Curtis brothers shipping, it shall burn in hell. They're brother for merlin sake. Incest is gross and should never be shipped. That goes the same for shipping the underage character and the adult one (ex. Pony-bit because TWO-BIT IS EIGHTEEN AND PONY IS FOURTEEN.)
