A complete inside and out review of my 1953 Dodge M-37. This tutorial is both a review and and an explanation of the starting and driving experiences of the fully restored vehicle.

Beautiful truck! Two things, your bridge plate is mounted upside down and your ignition switch knob is also mounted backwards. Just reverse the knob and then the "leg" of the switch will directly be over the ON portion of the plate. Stunning renovation!

Excellent, sometimes wish i'd kept mine, had some fun for 7 years.

your tires are NDT's, meant for deep snow and mud. there are several tread patterns available but the NDT's are terrible on ice or shallow snow. the manual also recommends airing down to 10psi. (from 40psi.) for mud/snow, which increases traction dramatically. i have the original TM/TO if you ever need any pictures or info

It's a race between the speedometer and the gas gauge , lol. Nice truck though, I had one for a short time and sold it for a 62 Willy's pickup which suited my needs much better. Thanks for the video, I wish you the best.

I see you have the artic heater on the drivers side fender....you don't see that much...but it's nice to have if you live in a cold area.. .

This vehicle was made to work and work hard. Turning it into a parade queen seems like a poor choice to me but that’s the beauty of living in the USA Your truck do what you want.

Did you drop the hood and leave the latches undone?

The cab seems very tight. At 6 foot 2 would I be too cramped to drive it? Also the brake pedal seems very high, I envision banging my knee on the steering wheel when going for the brakes. I had a 4 speed manual ford F350 for years, always started out in second unless hauling a load or climbing a steep hill. First is really a creeper gear.

Far from a tutorial. As a fellow M37 owner, we owe the viewers factual information. A few things. Didn’t have standard lockouts. No soldier would put their rifle in there Please learn accelerator from clutch There aren’t coils, not plural just singular The starter button is not unique The synchronized gears in the trans aren’t straight-edged Etc Real nice truck, kudos to your restorer.

Door handles are 90 degrees off and what's with the snot welds on the non original padlock hasps? Got a loose captured screw on your instrument panel as well. LOSE THE JEEP FLOOR MAT, GUY. Rifles would NOT be stored in the BII stowage bin under the bed. That's for your jack, tools and recovery gear. *straight cut gears. I don't mean to be too harsh, just the stuff I noticed.

I have a '53 M37, very similar except the artic edition with the fender-mounted heater and metal hard top but not nearly as nice as yours!!!!
