MAACO is a production shop. The need to get the car out the door as fast as possible and that is what they did. This is what should have been expected on their bodywork. I don't think Tyler cares so much about a Copart Maybach that he has very little money into.
@brentboswell12943 жыл бұрын
TBH, there's body shops that specialize in high-end cars, and part of the reason is because the disassembly/reassembly, plus customer expectations, are so much higher. You can never 100% erase most accidents from a vehicle...unless you get lucky and just dent something that can be fixed 100% by a bolt on panel replacement and the shop can dead on match the paint and there's no chassis bend to fix!

That corvette is just beautiful! Without a doubt top of my lottery win car shopping list. It's nearly as old as me but much better looking.

If on the radio the Maybach logo appears but then the radio quits, you almost certainly have a break in the fibre optic MOST loop.

I remember when I was in my late teens. I was shopping for a car, but didn't buy. This was in the late 80's. One dealer had a '66 Vette sitting on the showroom floor. I was enamored with it. The General Manager owned the car. He saw me and came out to talk about the car. It wasn't for sale. He just saw my big eyes and felt like talking. Ever since, I've been in love with the '66. Truly stunning vehicle. I envy you for this vehicle much more than the supercars. Don't give it up. At this point, I don't think the Vette is right for me. Your Mustang on the other hand??? Love that too. I'll give you dollars more than you paid for it.

6:18 can't get whip-lash with those seats, you can get whip-lower-back though! if that doesn't get you the lap belt will finish you off. This is why people were better drivers back in the day... we had to be, additionally the ones that weren't were Darwin'ed out of the driver pool!
@Psych0technic3 жыл бұрын
To be fair, those cars used to be much slower than the current ones and people did drive them slower and more carefully because of fear factor.

@Lassi Kinnunen 81 I can't argue with the Thai example without any personal experience there but I see it more like having no safety harness on grand canyon tightropes, everyone left has great balance...

I think it's the best car in yo fleet. Add vintage AC and you will too

Unless it's an original option, aftermarket "vintage" AC is pretty bad.

Tyler, this sounds sweet and strong, just what all of us want in a Vette. I'm really glad to see this becoming a nice car again. Looking forward to see what tires you'll decide on. I'd adjust the hood before it gets chipped on the leading edge. Be sure to save that Muncie Rock Crusher this car came with. The next owner is going to want that.

Hoovies Garage, the channel where a savvy businessman (?) turns a small fortune into pocket change! I enjoy the cars, the knowledge of what it takes to own and maintain a classic, and the fact that I don't have to shell out my own money to do it.

Of all your cars, this is the one I am most envious of. Stunning styling, big power plant - and as a side note, is also the car that the brassiest balls of any human being owned one: Neil Armstrong. (Only seconded by my idol - Buzz Aldrin.) It just doesn't get any more goose-bumpyish than this.

Six or seven inside your garage, a few outside in back, ten at the airport hanger, eight at the wizard's, hmm. I'm guessing you must own about 28 or so cars now . . . not counting the ones we haven't seen yet. You're the man Hoovie, the only one I'm truly jealous of is the 65 Corvette. Thanks for the fun. He he, I just noticed that was Elliott Alvis' blown turbo V70r passing you at the finish, I wondered who was doing the rolling shots. Hope he's headed to the Wizard's with that thing.
