It can be done. I sold an RTS that had exactly that setup. A lot of city buses have the lift. When they are sold off the lifts are there and could be adapted to any bus.

An eagle can be rebuilt regardless of the amount of rust. Question is is it worth the work. Some are, and some are not. As for cost, I never count my time as I wouldn't get paid for it anyway!! You can do a nice one for 30k if you have no labor cost

It was. They used it intil 2001 and the rear end came loose during a trip. They traded it in at Lewis bus sales in Agusta GA. I bought it for parts from them!LOL

@@EJ-us9jf I graduated from there in '75 (I'm in Anderson). From about '74 to '80 I drove the college choir around the southeastern US in a PD4103 or PD4104 (both owned by a friend). I enjoyed driving but had to give it up after marriage and kids came along. My friend sold both buses after an inexperienced driver threw a rod in the 4104 coming down a big hill near San Diego. Your bus is awesome, I know you are enjoying it! I looked at your forum posts and was amazed at the changes you've made to it. Well done, sir!

I don't know exactly. I bought parts and components over a period of years. The most costly thing is your labor, and we all know that is about twenty cents an hour! LOL

Probably, but eagles have not been manufactured since 1997. The susp. was unique and the ride was and still is unmatched in my opinion. And if I have a problem on the road I can usually diagnose and repair pretty quickly

Eric B I have a 1983 model 15 single axle that I want to build as an executive coach with 4 bunk beds... was wondering who did all the rust repair and interior work?

@@aracadas1 I did everything except the paint and I helped with that. It's sorta like eating an elephant. ONE BITE AT A TIME! LOL

Thank you for sharing everything Eric, I really appreciate it! I’m not too far north of you probly, I’m one state up from you in the central part of the state and close to Greensboro. Maybe one day we can run in to each other out on the road somewhere. You don’t happen to know of any Eagles down your way that’s for sale do you by chance?

LOL! That just happened to be the first song I listened to the first time I drove the bus before I stripped it. So I felt it fitting!

Eric B do you have plans of doing any other videos of the bus? You did an amazing job on the conversion, probly the best I’ve seen yet and we are planning on trying to find on later this summer to do something similar with so I love hearing about what others have gone thru ahead of me. But beautiful job either way. You really have something to be proud of there!!! Thank you for sharing
