Let me tell you I had a BLAST!!! Met a lot of my heroes/inspirational content creators and collectors, and made memories and conversations I wouldn’t have otherwise had. But I’m also up late editing and sorting through clips to make this beautiful masterpiece of content for you to consume!! Really hope you all enjoy this as it’s pretty darn close to the full experience. I maybe have missed a bit because I was “chasing” something very important to me, but I think it’s a pretty cool experience and I’m glad I caught all of it (or I should say my lovely talented fiancé Dyanna caught all of it) I didn’t explain in this video but HUGE shoutout to Dyanna for surprising me today. That was not a part of the plan and she was there for me and made me so happy. I cannot tell you guys enough how much it means when your loved ones not only support you but show up for you in their actions. I am SO LUCKY. Today was one of those days that made me forget about the bad ones, like it was all meant to be. Anyways …

@@orionsires You Sir is on the right track…keep chasing the big ones…eventually you’ll be there. You just got the king…tbh you can probably crack that out and try and get it re graded with cgc..if there is no visible whiting you could pull a 10. And a 10 is an automatic 35k+

Found this video while trying to get an idea of what this event was like. Man, as a player instead of a collector, I really can't imagine someone spending $28k on a pokémon card. Hell I couldn't even imagine spending more than like 50 bucks on a card. But again, any card I buy is going into a deck to play with not a padded suitcase to collect dust until it's sold. You do you though. I'm happy you have something that you enjoy.

hey man great video felt the full collectacon experience! i think that vendor was pretty generous to give you 90-100% trade value of your slabs for that gold star rayquaza in my experience at collectacon it's 75% at best for a select few vendors. moving pokemon cards/slabs is a lot harder than many think.

The only thing I would add to the video if possible is subtitles. Dude! Cheers on making that paper. I know collecting comes first but making those tough decisions is part of becoming sussessful with your financial decisions. Im rewatching to do market research and analyze how the sellers brain work. Love this video!

I’m a lowering end collector (don’t have thousands in cards or cash to throw around) but I am attending Collectacon houston in November. Do you have any big key takeaway or tips as to where the biggest and best deals are or even other tips outside of that. Singles, slabs, things such as that. Also, do you recommend bringing cash over card due to connection issues or does cash also have better buying power at these kinds of events? Will be my first con! Thanks man awesome video

Work every single table do not commit to any vendor immediately and also bring cash because for me personally I’d rather have the actual physical cash and from what o experienced the vendors felt the same because very few people actually bring cash. I only went with 2600 and slabs. You can trade your way to some amazing stuff but you have to put in the work! That’s for sure ! I hope this helps ! Thanks for watching! 😎🙏🏼

I primarily collect PSA cards, but some cards just look better in a BGS case. That Rayquaza honestly looks amazing in a BGS case. I like it better than in a PSA 9. Congratulations

On the slabs....if it's your personal collection you can go with cgc but if you are looking for liquidity and trading.....psa all the way. Seeing some of the latest drama around cgc, I will be avoiding grading with them. I'll bite the bullet and go psa

Interesting yeah I feel you there but I had a super good experience with cgc despite the things others are sending in 😂 I do prefer psa or bgs it’s nice to have uniformity in a collection but it’s hard too! Lol 😂 sometimes it’s tough to find the right deals with psa I really didn’t see many grail cards at the convention at all really tbh it was weird man no deals to be had really but I do agree psa is the move for now. 😎🙏🏼

I sold my 9 lights for 350$ a piece and kept my 8 heavies. My heavies are literally the only vintage sealed product that I now own. Crazy how things change.

Yeah but in this case I factored in paying more like 7 but then paying taxes and waiting and all that plus not seeing it in person is a must for a card of that caliber buying in person was way less stressful tbh and my stuff wasn’t that nice that I traded so I felt pretty satisfied overall! 🙏🏼😎

8500$ worth in trade value so specifically my 1st Ed zard, which he was super good on his offering, my shadowless 6 zard little less than I wanted, my BGS 5 shadowless (my first submission ever) and two base set zards plus 500 I think ? It was a lot !! But my only option in terms of that card in that grade so had to do it! And spent no extra cash! 😎🙏🏼

I don’t know which city has the biggest collect a con but I can tell you my city Charlotte, NC has a really big one. Vendors pack the place out. Uptown convention center right across the Westin suites which also have deals after the show in the floor level. Wherever you go it will be fun! If you come to Charlotte one this year I’ll see you there! 😎

that psa 8 base set shadowless booster pack is inside a plastic psa sleeve cover. do you know where I can get those sleeve covers? i only find the ones for the smaller slabs, but the bigger slabs don't seem to have any on the market available. do you have a link for amazon or something for covers with that size big enough for psa cases with booster packs? please

Hmm you know it’s just generic sleeves ? I will try and show them in the next video! I actually like them for their specious size but they aren’t a tight fit but can be used for multiple slabs and products. I’ll try and remember to mention them! 🙏🏼😎

I love how vendors only want to pay 80 percent on trade and theirs is 100 percent, and turn around and sell the trade at 100 so they net 40 percent. Something doesn’t add up. Cool card though and you worked the deal. I liked how you got other vendors opinions. Cool vid

Nope I kept the cleaner one that I paid more for! So still have the grail of vintage, which I plan to trade up on grades over time! The one I traded with costed me 4k and honestly didn’t look like a real 5 more like a 4. Straight up. Super stoked 😎🙏🏼

Jungle packs heavy or light are never worth opening. The cards in there aren’t worth much in a psa 10, IF they get the 10.

No I know I could use some things that would help but I also was able to get more done using my phone :/ as loud as it was I thing it gives a sense of how it really was being there but I know it’s just good advice and maybe something I can do. Yeah I really didn’t agree with his pricing BUT I like him probably the most as a person his humor, mannerisms and so forth. I always gravitated back towards him but couldn’t secure anything else sadly. That was the only thing I got from him. But damn does it look sexxxy! 😎 🙏🏼

Hmm he seems like a super nice guy but what exactly did he do? I’m not really up to date on the “drama” to be honest I just liked watching some of his content and seems like a nice guy to me. I judge people based on how I feel about them. I got nothing but good vibes from him!
