I went on my 1st race car experience at #Knockhill race track. It was the 1st time I drove a racing car in real life and it was absolutely amazing!
In this video, I share a little bit about my day at #Knockhill racing circuit and the experience I had.
I will be back to try some of the other driving experiences they have to offer.

Love the footage from the car! Very well documented and loved the commentary as always! Also nice lines through all the corners. That chicane at the top of that hill looks like fun!

Snail Racing I live in the states (San Antonio, TX to be exact) where people love to race in a straight line vs going through an apex. 😫

Hi, Annie thank you for sharing your experience at Knockhill. It is 11:43 PM here in Minnesota and after watching your video I am sitting with a big stupid grin on my face. Your excitement and enthusiasm really provide the joy of motorsports. One of the things I like about tracks in your part of the world is the feeling that you are going somewhere VS just doing laps. My fear is that we fellow iRacers have lost you to the call of the world of motorsports. Keep up the good work.

I've done the racecar experience at Knockhill in these too, great fun. Shame the top speed is limited. Also did the super day there a few months ago... drove 458, Vanquish, GTR, Gallardo.

The adrenaline was hectic. I should have put the heart monitor on. It’s definitely an experience I can recommend!

Looks like you had a great time, typical Knockhill weather. I've been waiting for my Legends experience all year. Hopefully I'll get booked in over the next couple of weeks.

Looked a super day out and no auto paddle gears then - very jelly, I’m too old these days but would love to do a real gte or something - I did do a racing day at Silverstone in saloon cars back in the day. Well done 👍

It is Donald and definitely worth the money! The folks at Knockhill are brilliant! Very patient, helpful and most importantly, very safe 😉

Man that looked awesome. I've had track time but not in cars like that so I can't tell you how jealous I am. What was interesting to me is how they used the cones to put you on the correct racing line, particularly for the esses and the late apex on the hairpin. Was that all explained in the briefing? What was the training part like?

Aye, the cones are there for just that exact reason! Blue cones where for breaking points and where to aim the nose. They 1st take you out in the Honda type R with your instructor. He does a couple of laps and explain everything. Then you swap and you go out for 4 laps so that he can assess if you are good to go for the Formula car. Unfortunately the onboard footage for the instructional session didn’t work. They are very thorough and the instructors are brilliant!

Snail Racing yes i did on Zandvoort with a F3 car as i come from Karting, but that was years ago. Still got my Kart but no time. Gwenndolynn

Glad you got to have this experience and enjoyed it so much. Really wish this track was on iRacing. I enjoyed it so much on Project Cars 2. I thought I had heard or read it was in their pipeline or plans so hopefully one day.

@@AnnieRabbets Oh wow - nice one :) Used to go to Knockhill for the BTCC and a few trackdays when I had a Mitsubishi FTO and then a Subaru! Good fun but I'm too scared to push it! :D

Hey Wade, nothing will beat real life but I can say, that if it wasn’t for iRacing, I wouldn’t have had a clue what my instructor was talking about 🤣🙈

Pretty cool to see. what type of car is that a ff2000? I’m Irish and I want to test a single seater at some point this year.

Ronan, to be honest, I don’t know. They just call it a Formula car. I should have most probably asked 🙈. If you are ever in Scotland, I can highly recommend Knockhill

They used to be a single make series car, formula Palmer audi. Van Diemen chassis, vag 1.8 litre engine, normally aspirated.

This is why You should drive in other sims to learn other tracks. iR is overrated in all areas

I’m sorry adakar, I’m confused... this is a real car on a real track, it’s not a sim and it doesn’t have anything to do with my choice of sim.I love iRacing and especially the community around it, not sure if it’s over rated or not, I love it
