My 2020 Goodman 14 SEER model sounds the same way. No TXV and properly charged using superheat.

The sound at start-up and shut-down is unique and concerning. Especially shut down. It reminds me of an out of balance top load washing machine. Mine makes the same noises, but not at every start-up and shut-down. Strange.

It’s the compressor loading and unloading. Pressures on the system were higher at this point. That is why those sounds will vary. This is typical today a-crossed the board and no one should be worried as it ran smooth while it was running!
