I have to say that befriending older upperclassman was the best thing I have done. They tell me which teachers to look out for and they drive you places when you guys wanna hang out, which is pretty cool. If you’re a freshman, befriend upperclassmen and just chill, you’re not the hottest thing since sliced bread and if you think you are then people from your class and upperclassmen may be quick to avoid you and no one wants to be friendless in the beginning of high school.

freshman (year 10/grade 9) : 1:12 sophomore (year 11/grade 10) : 4:57 junior (year 12/ grade 11) : 6:55 senior (year 13/ grade 12) : 11:29 in case you were too lazy to scroll lol (ignore the years thing unless you’re British and confused about the american system)

junior year was the hardest yr tbh lol u be ready to be a senior but u gotta do SAT/ACT n allat lol but it was hard for me bc I was in advance Spanish but I passed with a C+ (thank the Lord) I'm also in a dual credit class rn it's 3 hours and at the end I get a degree for me to be a medical assistant!!! I love the class and my teacher is funny

i leave those AP classes alonee lmaoo 😭 my school doesnt have weighted grades and i dont plan on going to an ivy league school or anything and i would like to spare myself the headache lmaooo. im taking 4 honors classes and i feel like theyre a good option for alot of people if you want a challenge but dont wanna die in AP 😓

Yeah I’m in 7th grade and these kids need to calm down, and it’s not like the 6th graders think they own the place, most of the time they are just confused about how Junior High works, and we shouldn’t be talking because we have 8th graders that are older than us 😂

There are over 500 comments here so Aliyah is probably not going to see this but.... Hi, Aliyah(if your reading this) I just started 7th grade with all accelerated classes and on my 4th day (today) I decided to get taken out of those classes because the stress was already really piling on for me and I felt like I wouldn't get anywhere if things were going at that pace. Anyways! Would i still be able to enroll in AP or Duel Enrollment given these circumstances? (I also have this fear that if I go to regular classes it'll be like I'm a failure and I wasn't smart enough to stick it out and do accelerated, did I make the right choice?) Edit: Sry for the five paragraph essay😞 And thank you Aliyah for all the school videos it has really made me think about how I really want to try my best to be a good student☺

THANK YOU ALIYAH! Rising junior here and I knew junior year was only going to be as hard as I made it. A lot of teachers/admin loveee to stress you out because they want to motivate you, but in reality they stress out the people who don't have other P.O.V.s. I go to an exam school dubbed best in my state and even regular classes are the equivalent of honors, but I know I got this! PS, you really inspire me because God knows there aren't a lot of black and brown studytubers out there; you're totally breaking the mold and I'm HERE FOR IT! #caribbean #stthomas #guyana

Honestly just be a good student, arrive to your classes on time, be respectful, and complete your assignments on time. It’ll let them know that you really care and plus you’ll leave a good impression on them :)
