First video of me and this is a really impromptu video i made while in Big Sur, CA. Many have asked about my custom build so here's a brief walk-through (sort of) and what I've done so far. Pictures to come later.

Nice truck, some good ideas. I'm thinking of using a truck topper or camper vs. The tent. Living in Minnesota i need a well insulated and heated camper for ice fishing. Thanks for sharing your build, enjoy your hard work.

The blackout look isn't something I like so much, but it looks great on your rig. However, that chrome window trim throws me off😆. And I'm a hypocrite because I still have chrome bumpers on my 2020.

@@privilegedwhitemale306 no. I usually do but I got a deal through icon to do it for me. Figured I'd get it covered if anything went wrong. The springs are the hardest thing. If you have the right tools you can do it yourself.

Brent, Nice build, can you add a list of what you have in the description. I really like that large pressurized water tank. This will help people find the products that you are using easily. I know it's county but go Squad 51.

How long is your bed? I opted for the 8 foot bed and I'm wondering how different thats going to be with a similar set up.

It's a short bed so somewhere around I believe 70 in. The standard box is 79 in and the long box is 98 in. The benefit you'll have is being able to fit more on a bed rack without it leading over the tailgate. I.e.: a longer rooftop tent with canopy won't stick out as much.

I drive a Prius with "snow rated tires"(because I live and drive in Northern New England) My Prius will and has made it to the same camp site you are parked at in this video(FACT). I want to offer you a challenge, Mr. Overlander. You choose the camp site at that location and I bet I can survive longer bringing only supplies in to that campsite with my Prius vs. you bringing supplies in with your overlander... "ONE TRIP! EVERYBODY KNOWS THE RULES". Let's see who can last longer without leaving that camp site. Yes, your shit looks cool as fuck and cost mad dough, but IT'S NOT SURVIVAL! Gimmick Man-toys. Trendy as fuck right now. Everybody has it, nobody uses it. Serious note though, that is a fucking awesome vehicle you put together brother. I'm just bustin stones here. You got street cred in my book. Why is your ass end so low though?

Looked like the rear suspension was sagging a bit? All that weight noticeable when driving?

Yeah, a little. Looking at doing air bags for the weight. Ones that can fill each individually and articulate with the axle. Looking at daystar cradle to keep the range for off-road while managing the weight fluctuations. daystarweb.com/suspension/air-bag-cradle.html

What size were those tires? How much rubbing?

315 / 70 R17. Comes out to 34.4 inches I believe. Only had to do a little modification. Just had to pull back the inner wheel well liner. No cutting. Just zip ties...for now.

It's a combination of not putting any blocks in the back when I lifted it and all the gear I took for big sur trip. Air bags will be a great addition soon.
