What a nice thorough and quick review of your new bow setup and new bow brand. It’s going to take a while to get use to you with something outside of a PRIME. You and Tim Burnett, Corey Jacobsen and a couple others were why I went with a PRIME bow after 14 years of shooting the same bow. That and the fact that a new local archery 🏹 shop had a PRIME BLACK 3 for $600. I couldn’t pass that up. I like the Mathew’s lineup and the new tweaks that they made to incorporate their own accessories and the inline bow sight locking design is phenomenal. I really appreciate the design elements that went into the low profile quiver that looks like it’s built right into the bow itself

Thanks for the info. Bought a V3X earlier this year and had a great season with it. Bows are like guitars it seems - a good one is worth the money.

Very cool, I have the V3 31, would have definitly gone with the 33 for my 29" draw lenght had it been around last year. I almost went Ventum because of that, but the switch weight mod won me over so I could start @ 55lbs and work up as I get stronger and my dislocated shoulder recovers. made it up to 60 by the time season started. Going to go with 65 next spring, but I still have late Elk and Blacktail to chase down this month.

Remi thanks for the info. I have immense respect for your knowledge and your craft. I did want to ask since I have a V3 31 with 75# mods. You spoke about how you added a few twisted to the cable to get up near 80#. How much did that add to your draw length?

Remi, have you ever tried or considered cat back quiver type? i hunt exclusively from the ground, still hunting in brushy hilly country. the arrows are locked in and and out of way, easy to reach back to grab next arrow.

I also a v3x 33 with a fast eddie xl, but with the bridgelock system, my sight seem to be too far left? Did you use an adapter for yours?

Hey remi, I just ordered the v3x and am trying to find the weight and separation difference between the new Mathews quivers vs. competition (something like tight spot). I use a hamskea so I’m worried about the contact the rest may have with the quiver.

What case do you use to carry in when traveling? Do you need to remove the stabilizer?

Bow technology is light years ahead from only 20 years ago. If I am bowhunting I just need to feel a basic recurve in my hands. Otherwise I'll just carry my rifle.
