As someone who has kids and practices Montessori, you don’t need to learn to draw characters to illustrate a children’s book. Many of our favorite books are books about fruits/veggies, vehicles, clothing, the planet, animals, etc. Check out Julia Rothman’s “anatomy of” books. I’m reading these with my 3 year old and everything in the book is painted. It’s beautiful, and the collection of the three books in this series came with 10 mini posters that we’re going to frame and put up at child level in our house. They’re beautiful!! I could totally see you doing a book about things you find in a forest.

Many campgrounds are closed due to covid. We just did a day hike since almost all parks still allow day use. (Closed at sunset) we then stayed at a hotel/motel. We did this with Big Sur, and learned that it was the same with Hungry Valley. I hope that helps. Many people still go on hikes, you don’t have to lock yourself in all the time. Just plan to figure out take out/curbside pick up for food before places close or do a good grocery shopping.

13:04 if you totally mess up a spread and don't have anything on the next pages, you can glue these two pages together instead of gluing new pages on top. 💖🌞🌵😷

Yes, the sketches would be so awesome. When i paint u usually look at your visions and choose a painting that i would like to copy as you paintings are always beautiful. So not having to worry about if the sketches match would be perfect. I just finished my first bullet journal although i dont think I will be sticking with it, but i do love the paintings i did so i might stick with that instead. Also u deserve more subscribers.

Very impressive artwork. Lots of effort for each page. Those Polaroid pages look a lot like little windows to me. You could even cut out the holes on one and have it look out to your forest scene. Very nice job.

Love this! So, so pretty Jenny! I've been watching your videos for a bit now and this is the year I'm finally starting to bullet journal and paint!! Love the idea of putting sketches to paint/color on patreaon. I feel like the hardest part of wanting to paint is the fear/work of sketching when you're not very artistic.
