You might find some rubber bands to be handy. Couple slim ones, couple thicker ones. If you encounter a screw that is stripping out, a rubber band can help your bit to grip into it.

Loick picks, piece of shrink tube, hotglue stick, zippties, eaerplugs are some things that I carry and use regular. I have this thing where if I need something once and don't have it I'll put it in the pouch and then if I do not need it again for a few months I'd get rid of it or relocate it. Also there are some pretty sweet Q tips that have either iodine or alchohol in them great for cleaning or disinfecting stuff.

for cables i'd consider the rolling square incharge xl. all combinations of charging you could need in a single cable. only downside is if you are charging multiple things at once you'd only have the single cable if you carried only that.

Marbles makes this cool little Spork that doubles as a can opener and bottle opener. Its from AtlanticKnife Company. Its just under 4 inches (10 cm) and is actually more of a spoon. Also some kind of compact ruler comes in real handy. Great video and HandBuilt Show in Austin is pretty cool. Q tips and those plastic floss picks are very useful after some jerky or popcorn gets stuck in teeth

Thanks for the advice. Will look up the Marbles spork for the next trip for sure. I use a pretty great, light, titanium one at the moment but didn’t have it packed in this video. Austin Handbuilt show was epic. 💯 going back next year.

Love these videos, mate. I used to carry 3 different charging cables too but have swapped for the InChargeX by Rolling Square. It's like 6 cables in 1 and is super neat and tidy. I'm going to look into those Knipex pliers. I have some Teng mini mole grips just now but they don't open as wide. Keep up the great videos and have a great trip. I'm also a Dad to 2 young girls and would be interested to see your suggestions regarding EDC items that you might carry for kids.

Some small cable ties fed into the case piping for storage. Depends a bit on case type (eg it works OK with MaxPedition EDC versions). Some pins and safety pins, also can be parked on the piping. Lastly a small stick of "hot glue" to use with your lighter. Travel safely :-)

Since you already have a knife in there I would add a Swisscard nailcare edition. Very light and slim, adds scissors, magnifying glass, glass nail file, ruler and a few other things. Also, if you don’t mind the weight and size I would add the smallest needle nose Vice Grip locking pliers. If you are repairing or tightening something single handed they are very useful for locking on nuts or other things on the backside of whatever you are adjusting, even if you can’t really see the nut or can barely reach it. You can lock them on sideways for greater purchase or lock the nut in the tip if you only have a fraction of an inch space around it.

Great video. As a personal taste, I would switch the QSP Penguin for a Leatherman Crater C33 with bottle opener and carabiner (Very light weight and you can clip it anywhere). Also, for a flashlight, the RovyVon 4th Aurora A8 is lighter, has a warm wide area light and has more features than the Olight. Adding a long thin cord to your kit, comes handy to dry up clothes in hotel rooms. For your first aid kit, add a small Neosporin antibiotic ointment.

Great go-pouch and a great video! I like the pouch itself a lot! The only other thing I might suggest is bit of Kevlar cordage. You can get 50lb line that's great for sewing heavy duty material (like a camera strap, suitcase, or coat), securing and as cordage in general, and 20ft of it can wind around a needle or bread tie to take up barely more room than a matchstick.

I bring drugs. 2-4 painkillers, a couple of antihistamines, some Imodium, just enough to get me to a pharmacy. Of all the things in my EDC, drugs get used the most (by me and for others)

Cool video & kit. One request; don’t shine the light at the camera. It’s blinding.

I had to Google that. For other folks, a tool that has a wide flat-head screwdriver-like end that extends as a wedge, used to separate pressure-fit plastic components without causing damage during separation. Thanks for sharing

Your justification for not having a leatherman doesn’t really make any sense. About as much sense as having the knipex pliers because it’s hot and everyone else is doing it.

A great choice with some cracking stuff. I am hesitant to suggest an addition. It is always easy to add, but not easy to take away. I note your wise comment about the pry bar. If you do not use it after a period of time, leave it behind. I carry a regular, and brutal, audit of my EDC. It's a shame to see those expensive and shiny new things being set aside, but well worth it in the long run. But yeah, I will make some suggestions (sorry!). I suggest the addition of a little aerosol spray (you can get them small and cheap) of Isopropanol alcohol. Obviously, you need to by the latter separately. Why? Disinfectant (the times we live in!) and, at a pinch, deodorant. It is also a boon when you are polishing your shoes. I would also add some bank line.

I appreciate the internal filter ☺️ and also the advice. Sounds like you have a tried and tested system that works for you. But you’re never done, done. It’s a work in progress. ☺️
