I just can’t believe Daisy is 8!! I’ve been following along since you were pregnant with her and it feels like that was yesterday! But wow, what an incredible 8 years. I have 2 beautiful children within that time myself and really can’t believe how blessed we’ve been in these 8 years despite the challenges! I had a really challenging time with my mental health last year and I used to lie in bed watching your vlogs. Ive watched your videos for years now, we have nothing in common (and I mean, pretty much nothing, I don’t even shop at Tesco 😂) but yet, I watch every time you upload because of you and who you are, you are open, honest, kind and just so lovely to have on my phone or tv whilst I potter around the house and I hate to think you are/were trying to understand what you did wrong. Because you did nothing wrong, people online are just horrible and have problems they can’t face and that’s not a reflection of you at all. I very much relate to your feelings on aging. I’m 33. I work in an office with a lot of younger Gen Z girls in their mid-late twenties. They’re lovely girls but they are interested in fashion, makeup, and dating the way most girls in their 20’s are. I’ve just come to the conclusion that I, as someone in my 30’s, am not obligated to participate in trends I don’t like. I’m allowed to look “out of date” sometimes. I don’t need to compete with people in their 20’s. If we think about our mothers and grandmothers in their 30’s no one was pressuring them to look like they were 25 when they were 35. They were moms with kids and careers. My mom was wearing matching sweaters (jumpers) with my sister and I. She wasn’t worried about looking like Jennifer Aniston. So I don’t have to either. I can look like I’m 33 and that’s absolutely okay.
