You mentioned the wind noise at speed, this is normal but I have found that if you get a good helmet it helps a lot. I personally have a Shoei NXR2 (European name for it) Very aerodynamic as well.

Nice exhaust, cant wait for a nice one in EU. For looks, i really think tail tidy, removing the rear foot pegs, and moving the rear break oil to mid-bike made a huge difference. I also changed the mirrors.

Looking forward to see how you outfit it with luggage for traveling.

I think this exhaust will not be legal in EU or switzerland but it sounds prety good and the seat looks gorgeus

I like the sound of the exhaust Kirk and the mirrors. Where did you get the extra long screws? I ordered the tail tidy from mustard, can't wait for it. Probably will leave my exhaust stock for now but really want mirrors to get rid of the anthena. I think Yamaha did an amazing job with this new MT09.

Thx for the link at Kepicustoms! On they're main site page, I couldn't help myself look at the Yamaha XSR900 2024... I totally forgot about that model, drooling at the MT-09. But now, looking at it again, with it's VERY minor differences with the MT-09, I love the gold rims and front shocks... Interested to know if you took it in consideration, since it has all of the options you needed (minor a few electronic tweaks). Perhaps this is for another video :) Thanks in advance! I'm on the waiting list for this same model like yours and I'm also going to customize it with my own people,.. taking advantage of the package that the Yamaha store where I buy the bikes , because I'm going to exchange my MT 07,.. and I was curious about the exhaust,.. what do you think of it,.. how it behaves, has anything changed in the engine's performance and if the price is fair??,.. thank you very much ,..as soon as I have mine and with some mods I can post a video,..I'm from Portugal,.. good curves,.. and keep improving this fantastic machine,..!! congratulations !!

Really badass bike! One thing holding me back from getting a naked bike is the wind blast on the highway but tbh with my fully faires gsxs1000gt i still get blasted in the head, maybe even worse cause the fairings redirect all the air to my head..

That stock long tail looks like shit lets be honest about..manufacturers spend tons of money making the correct exhaust system..the replacement is louder and probably lost hp as well..I'd rather not wake up the neighborhood with my bike..to think people waste money to lose hp but make more noise is counterproductive in my opinion.. make a noisy bike so the cops can hear you blocks away..lol

I enjoy your car reviews and news. You should realize that loud noise from motorcycles is apt to be extremely annoying to many people not riding similar machines. And it may be distracting and even threatening to drivers you pass or approach. That's why many municipalities have noise ordinances. When you test hybrids you are careful to not maximize economy by driving in such away as to annoy people: to avoid "being a jerk" as you put it. Think about that when riding.

when you get a second would you mind linking the exact bolts and adapter you used to install the mirrors i plan on doing the same thing but with the CRG bar end mirrors with the stock bar ends! thanks so much im so excited to order all this up great looking bike i have one in blue and im loving every bit of it besides the mirrors!! @KirkKreifels
