I love the scale and oversimplified forms of bakelite, the colours are greyed out, so earthy, and the lines are simple arcs. I feel that as a material, bakelite forced a kind of modernism, minimalism and almost primitive aesthetic.

Amazing! Your Bakelite collection is incredible! I am not a big fan of Bakelite, but after your video I have a different view. Thank you very much for such instructive video. I have several pieces of Bakelite jewelry. I tested them with a baking soda and water and it gave the same result as simichrome polish. But tomorrow I will go to buy this polish to be sure that my jewelry pieces are real Bakelite. Thank you very much again! Sorry for my English!

I never got into the bakelite thing, probably because I was born in 1966 & it just didn't fit me or my personal style. Also I have huge hands and wrists so most bangle style bracelets never fit over my hands so I couldn't wear them. I do love love love all the colors! There's thousands! ❤

It's cold in Ohio why can't you wear your bangles as scarf clips. Put it on a long thick chain around your neck and put your scarf through the hole.

I do have a bracelet almost like the one in the middle of the title picture with the leaves and it stains my skin yellow if I wear it. Is this normal? I don't want to have poisonous chemicals like formaldehyde on my skin.
