I've been getting a lot of messages and comments asking for some videos about the car with more detail. Well, here it is! Go easy on me! this is my first time trying to make a KZfaq video where I talk instead of just driving the car 🤣. This will be a part #1 of 4 videos explaining the car. This video outlines my thought process on choosing the legendary 2JZ engine and some of the current modifications I've made. The next part will be more detailed on what is needed to swap and the transmissions I've used for the car.

Awesome to see that MaxxECU is getting known more and more in the US of A. I run race in my S14. Also, could you cover in a future video a couple of details on the electronics side, more specifically, how did you deal with the OEM BMW parts like the gauge cluster and so on? How did you make it work with the swap? Can't wait for the next video!

Mannn you did a big one with this build! New sub here & excited to see what you’re going to do with thing! I feel the same as you about keeping a inline 6 engine in the E92. I’m sure after I’m done with the N54 I’ll more than likely go 2J🔥

Brother, I do the same thing, only on the other side of the planet! Tell us more about how you rebuilt the fuel pump. and how I solved the problem with pumping from the left half of the tank to the right. I don’t know English well, I’m writing through a translator!

His car was definitely inspiration for me. Did my build a tab bit differently though. My goal was to retain as much oem functionality as possible. From gauge cluster to oem electric fan, it all works. (But AC 😅 )

Great work. How much hp are you now pushing and do you have a target hp planned?

Thank you! Not sure on power yet. I plan to head to the dyno soon and ti finish my tune on there. Based on some dragy times, I'd estimate high 700 to low 800s on my low boost setting of 25psi right now.

Previously on the the 2jz, you had the n54 gear box on it?

Yes. I have since switched to a reverse manual valve bodied th400. I plan on covering transmission and more in depth swap conversation on my next video I'm working on.

Works pretty good! I used it to place a nitrous jet before the turbo

I've honestly lost track. Too much! I was able to recoup alot from all my n54 stuff and I did all labor / fabrication/ wiring myself

Howd you go about wiring ?

Used the maxxecu universal wiring and made a harness. You could also use the pre-made supra harness from maxxecu and mod it to fit.

@@v8huntr does speedo read from diff ? Was there any complications on that regard, I'm looking at getting a standalone/ universal loom from wiring specialist and running standalone ecu, can you see any issues I'd likely run into ?

@tylertimmins7958 speedo reads from wheel speed sensors. What ecu are you using? Maxxecu has bmw CANBUS stuff built in. Just wire 2 CAN wires from ecu to chasis, and it all works like factory.

@@user-ns4eg9bt4x im doing THIS swap and it would be a minimum 30K... if you where lucky, im over 40k into it, but i got my engine and trans back when it was cheap for a 2jz, also mine isnt finished
