Imagine trading bitcoin for dollars. Bitcoin is the exit strategy. If they hold dollars at the wrong time, they risk there currency hyper inflating or at least losing serious value

Because getting out high and back in low maximizes your bitcoin holdings. It’s pretty simple in theory:). Execution, of course, is another thing.

@@ctbojarI have tried and I have pretty much just “round tripped” my bags. DCA has works better for me…. On corrections, increase DCA amount on runs up, scale back the DCA amount. But selling high and buy low has me about even. 🤦‍♂️

I have a new Porsche that cost me 14K worth of Bitcoin in 2017. I’ll sell my next Bitcoin at 500K and from then on, I will never sell but borrow against my Bitcoin to buy businesses and pay back the loans and make a living. That is called creating family wealth. Sell whenever you like but this person doesn’t understand Bitcoin and why it’s going up. I am at present way ahead of my initial investment.

My exit plan does not include accepting fiat currency for Bitcoin. If/when gold or a gold-backed currency is available for trade with Bitcoin, then I might consider it.

I agree with you. Eric Krown who I respect as an analysis said early this morning. After the halving when Bitcoin dumps the alts will pump. Now, Bitcoin he claimed will go down to $60k and it will stay there for a while. I can’t agree with him at this time but I know I heard him say it would reach over $100k. I don’t want to sell any of my bitcoin I added to for 10 years. I have 4 total. I was really hoping the price would be $500k or better as many claimed so I loose hope. I’m ahead by $200k now and will start cashing in soon and keep 2 and plan not touching them to see what happens

If you are greedy and try to time your exit at the top u will surely almost likely fail, happened to me... and as history dictates, bear market all coins will be down by more than 50% to 90%. no matter how good a project...that is the time to come back in for those long term investment solid blue chips.

What, 2025?! My man, 2030 is the goal for me. Until then, no matter what happens I am accumulating. The only other rules I have are to stake, which I am doing, and to buy every time it dips a bit. I don't buy if it jumps immediately, I wait for a month or two, or three, and if it dips I buy. Even if the price of any of my holdings goes 10x, I still won't sell, unless I see the opportunity for another investment, predominantly real estate property at a good prosperous location. That is it for me.

Just exit at the most recent 20 day low. Exiting below a 200 Ema gives up too much gains. You have to give it room to go up as much as possible and ride the wave but get out when the trend is changing.

For long term trends, the turtle traders would put a trailing stop at the lowest low in the last 20 days. They are sometimes called price channels or Donchian channels. This lets the trend keep going and gives enough room for normal volatility. It also protects a lot of the gains in a big trend.

Why not set a sell stop order if your target price is reached just in case the market keeps going up. At those price points you will be so far ahead it may be worth it to risk a small loss.

I am using my Bitcoin position today to take the earns last a certain value and business it to payoff all me credit card debt at 24.99 percent….after that I will let it run and see what happens…I don’t think it will ever get to 200,000…maybe 75,000 or 80,000 at the highest. It’s a hedge against the dollar and a bear market is when the value will shoot thru the roof

The alt coin season normally lasts around 6 months before and during BTC's ATH, and it ends before BTC drops 20% even if BTC gets another pump up. The speed drop of alts will be faster and harder than BTC or Ethereum and you can see it on the charts. When you see this, you should already know that alt coin season is over.
