Things go wrong with everycar just make sure u buy a well looked after or low km one to start with to save u money in the long run and modify wisely as in not beyond what is recommended for each part, I've had 0 problems other than codes reminding me of service items so far. If you are new to Modifiying you don't need to go the mainstream route either to achieve epic performance on this car it's the cheapest fast car I've done since my Mkiv supra to get into the low 12's high 11's for underAUD $2k, all you need is below and in this order(* check your whole spark system and piping for leaks or misfires,vehicle health in good order ect then start modding *DCI $200 *charge pipe $200-300 *JB4 run on map 1for now,$500 *delete mid resonator adding an x pipe,delete back mufflers -40lbs burbles galore $50-$300 *ebay intercooler stepped direct fit fast as install $400 YES works great IAT dropped by 15deg average and heatsoak is almost impossible now * mixBoostane or high octane fuel and run map 5 now for 15-17psi These mods will give you low 4secs 0-100 ,mid 12sec 1/4miles For going sub 12 * lipo battery $450 -30lbs saving * lightweight race wheels with semi slicks on the back ditch the heavy bumpy RFs - 50lb plus rotating weight reduction huge seat of pants difference * eliminate gear kick down switch so you can launch off 2nd gear (half second gain) Expect mid 3sec 0-100/60 at track high 3's on road And mid,high 11's track /high 11's on the road Conservative and realistic numbers here give or take I've done these time and time again on mine already so it's the best car I've tuned Since my Mkiv supra Easy and cheap by anyone's standards the 335i n54 rocks IMO so far so good loving it

This tune ROCKS..... I got the MHD but I didn't put the burble on max. I could use a tad more but it actually sounds meaner overall which is crazy. The pulls even in 4th are crazy on the highway...scary speed.

Man I even find the stock MHD tune to be way superior to the BMW stock tune it's such a great platform. I have v8.1 as my first version I'm working with . I consider myself lucky to have it at such an advanced version

btw the reason you're backfiring like that, your tune is allowing your exhaust cam to open while the combustion is still going on. so the combustion flies down your pipe instead of being contained and driving your pistons.

I just got the MHD tune myself. Not stage 1 yet as I want to have replacement coils/plugs before I possibly fry them. However I did the aggressive burble on 3(I think) duration and honestly did not expect what would happen. It literally sounds like a gunshot (I'm catless, dps and stock mufflers). The only interesting thing is how I had an issue with a rattle on acceleration before the tune and after applying wastegate rattle fix maximum for least lag the rattle is all gone now(I have brand new turbos installed less than 3k ago. MHD really is a huge bargain for the price. Also, try the linear throttle map, the car feels a lot more responsive

I did this MHD tune for my 2008 335i sedan especially for the burble. Guess what? It didn’t work. Not a single burble. Mind you, my car is completely stock other than just the MHD tune. Please let me know what your settings were for the burble options. Thanks in advance!

Awesome video!! I'm actually exited about this but I do have a question. I have a 2007 335i M sport coupe with around 160K and doing something like this seriously excites me. Do you think with the car that I have with the mileage it has would be a good idea to go through with? I already feel like the car has enough power for what I do for a day job which is drive around all day. The second question is reliability. I do need to drive around all day for my job. Are the problems of adding something like this going to limit my mobility? They're probably more long term questions but I needed to ask them.
